Pro: location and price Cons: No English at reception, no elevator in the building (it has 5 or 6 floors), old and dusty rooms, the radiators didn't work (there was air conditioning but when you leave the room it shuts off), the water of the shower was either too hot or too cold, the bathroom was very little and basically the shower was in the middle of the bathroom

Don't recommend staying in this antique style hotel. The whole building and room were extremely old and run down. There's no lift to 3rd floor to the rooms. Inside the room, there's stains on the floor. Did 2 bookings, 1 for a night and another for 2 nights, thankfully the 2nd booking had free cancellation. The only advantage of this hotel is that the famous 四季民福烤鸭 is right beside the hotel, I was able to take queue number, and head back to room for a 1.5 hr wait. 王府井步行街 is near about 10 mins walk? Not worth for the price paid even for a night.

The room is very old especially the toilet that looks so dirty. The floor is super cold with no heater so we were freezing all night. They put us on 5th floor and with no elevator, you have to really think if you want to do that every day and every time you come in and out of your room. Despite the good location, the room you got is not worth it.

Booked this hotel for a shower and 2 hours rest before my flight. No lift but a secured place. The check-in staff was polite and friendly. The bed was comfy but the toilet was a bit run down. Overall ok experience.

It is a really old hotel , the staff is not that friendly but they help with what they can, the room is ok but it’s nos nice at all , the AC works well

Good location, famous Peking duck restaurant just downstairs. However, there's no lift. Also, the air conditioner in my room was hot, they quickly resorted to bringing me a fan instead. They provide luggage storage after checkout.

hotel is near food centers, shopping centers, local market (behind hotel), near Beijing Metro. But there is no elevator, if you are strong enough to bring your 20s kilogram up to 5th floor, then this hotel is perfect (also no refrigerator).

Its cheap and location good. Pretty run down, staff didn't speak any English, can hear noise from other rooms, like the continued spitting from other guests. If ya want cheap and location good but not fussed on standards, then this works, but I would rather pay a little more and get something a bit nicer

Location is great, but the room wasn't. If you want to stay in the city center for a cheap price it's ok, but be prepared for not so good conditions.

If you are not physically challenged and love the sight and sound of an era gone by, this is a hotel for you. The location is ideally situated near well-known Beijing attractions. Furthermore, it is next door to the Michelin-award-winning Peking Duck restaurant, Peking Chamber (or 四李民福烤鸭店). As a hotel guest, a visit to this restaurant is a "must", unless you are willing to forego a part of your Beijing experience. I had dinner at this restaurant on two occasions during my 6-night stay! The wi-fi is a bit weak. I was informed due to their location amidst numerous government offices, router allocation is limited. On the other hand, if you sit outside near Peking Chamber, you can easily connect to that restaurant's wi-fi. The hotel staff was helpful, particularly, Miss Zhang Xinyu, who assisted me with my laundry needs and scheduled my visit to Tiananmen Square to witness the National Flag lowering ceremony. I also like to thank Miss Li Yiran for her kind thoughts ensuring I had a memorable stay (which I did) at the hotel.
