Nice quiet hotel on a major highway. The staff was friendly and helpful. Once we settled in We didn't want to leave for restaurant. This hotel offered in house pizza at a reasonable price so we ordered one, delivered hot and tasty to our room. Room was comfy. However, the "handicap accessible" bathroom was their normal small bathroom with grab bars and tub seat, too crowded to work well if one used a wheelchair. We enjoyed this overnight stay and the complimentary hot breakfast with lots of choices.

Worst experience traveling with a dog. I had a funeral but couldn’t leave my dog unattended w/out a kennel so I left him in my car at the funeral because he doesn’t need a kennel which put more stress on an already harsh situation. the point of having a dog friendly hotel is to make traveling alittle easier. side door where ppl go and go ALL night but the door slams shut. Up all night No elevator for seniors and baggage. A/c didn’t work Breakfast ****** Requested early online check in paid $65. My sister got in w/out extra $65 at same time as me. Had to eat “free” breakfast in my room because I didn’t have a kennel while 3 rooms around me dogs were barking up a storm. Will never stay at this motel again. Ali maras Baxter mn

The hotel has been newly updated and our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location was convenient and a short drive from the lake that we enjoyed during the day. This was our first time staying at this hotel and we plan to stay again.

the front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. but the room was slightly dirt-pillow cases with makeup stains and a tub that needed to be scrubbed after remodel work. the remodel job was amateurish-2 of the 3 lamps didn't have light bulbs, the mirror still had it's shipping film on it, laminate floor in the bathroom over existing tile so the floor was a different level than the bedroom, new exhaust fan very noisy, towels very thin. walls also paperthin

For my first visit, I was not impressed. I will give credit that the lobby and breakfast area were very clean and smelled good. After that it goes downhill. I really wanted to like this hotel because the price was great, the front desk person was very nice, and I love AmericInn hotels. After check-in, I made my way to my first room. Initial impressions were small but clean looking. I always check the bed well before unpacking and noticed a variety of hairs on the bed and when I pulled the duvet back, noticed some hairs on the sheets. Benefit of the doubt, it was probably from the cleaning staff. 2nd room... when right to the bed. No hairs but a variety of small yellow spots on the duvet with a larger one on the sheets. 3rd room... (This is when the nice, patient front desk agent promised we would find a clean room and printed off the vacant room list) Same issue as the second. 4th room... duvet looked good and sheets looked good so I said I would take it. Once I got settled and used the restroom, I saw that the bottom of the tub was dark (showered standing on a towel the next morning), the shower shelves were not wiped down from the last guest, and where the shower walls meet the tub it was all cracked and had mold/mildew. After working in bed for a bit I checked the pillows before laying down. I saw that 3 of the 5 pillows had yellow spots on them, but at least two were clean. Side notes... the internet was not good; breakfast was standard and ok; this was definitely not built as an AmericInn. I did see that the hotel will be undergoing a full top-to-bottom renovation, so I may give it a shot once completed but that's a big if. Overall, until the renovation is over it is worth the $50 to drive 20/25mins north to the AmericInn Pequot Lakes.

Great hotel! The hotel was clean, the rooms were very nice, and the front desk staff was friendly. I would recommend staying in this hotel. It is in a central area with lots of restaurants and stores close by and is accessible to all that up north has to offer.
