Hotel at Batavia Downs

This is a really nice hotel. Clean and comfortable. The deals they have are well worth it if you like to gamble. Breakfast is also awesome. My only issue was it was a bit noisy but that also depends on whether the people staying near your room are inconsiderate. You really can't go wrong staying here.

Nice and clean and great employee good food in the bar and in the restaurants. rooms are very clean gaming floor is nice clean thank you. I do like the hot seat. I wish you would change the points. I do like the $10 after lunch. Very easy to get a card.

Absolutely loved the hotel! Rooms were well appointed. The staff was extremely helpful. Food options were amazing. I would definitely recommend it. Harness racing live is a must see! Gaming has something for everyone! It's definitely a win!

From checkin to checkout, WONDERFUL stay. The Receptionists were all so friendly and helpful and found us a very quiet room on the top floor - exactly what I'd hoped! The room was actually warm as soon as we entered which was great because I usually have to increase the temperature (most hotel rooms are freezing!). The bed and pillows were comfortable - bed very firm which is like our home but folks who prefer soft mattresses may think it a bit hard. We found it was just right. The towels in the bathroom were large and fluffy and there was even a robe in the closet. We had breakfast and arrived with only about 10 mins. before closing but Cathy - the Hostess in the Breakfast room - was Amazing! Came over to make sure we had everything we'd like and told us although she was clearing items, to please help ourselves to anything and take as much time as we needed to finish breakfast. We saw her later that morning and she gave us a tour of the hotel! Simply Wonderful! Everyone and everything was just a perfect little getaway.

Going to preface this with the fact that this was free and I still am giving this a 1 star review. Stayed on the first floor, which somehow requires you to take an elevator down, which smelled as soon as you got Into it. Go into room, the cheap flooring is clearing coming up and is bubbling on the edges. The entire time we were here it sounded like people were running laps, the entire night, early morning etc. we both got next to zero sleep. Lived in a frat house with a party going on in college that was substantially quieter than this somehow. The towels were also quite dirty in the bathroom prior to us arriving with next to no toilet paper left on the roll which seemed really odd. I honestly had zero intention of giving a review, but people need to know about this noise. This is insane and not worth paying for

The Facebook special they offer where you can stay for free is awesome. You get free play equivalent to the room rate. We usually upgrade to the suite. We've stayed here 3 times with that deal. Dinner at the bar is decent. Enjoy machines to play for the night, and it's nice to be able to play until they close, and not have to drive home. The free breakfast in the morning is also pretty good. Our last stay, our room could have been cleaner. There were food crumbs all over the floor. It was clear they didn't vacuum. I also hate the brown throw pillows on the bed. I'd much rather just have the clean pillows in clean pillow cases. The bathroom is nice. Bedroom is decent. Nice little getaway.

Very disappointed I was woken up to someone having very loud chair banging s@x at 5 in the morning! I called the front desk but for some reason they said they didn’t hear anything and the people got louder.. it’s been going on for 2 hours! And I have my whole family here with me. I’ll never stay here again

I saw an ad on Facebook for a package for either 9/8 or 9/9. I was to get a gift or two options of booze AND a gift of either a tent or skillet along with free play When I checked in the girl at the front desk didn’t want to honor the second gift. I even showed her a screen shot of the post and she pulls up the one the Hotel posted earlier that day. Don’t know why they posted it when they were already sold out. She kept arguing with me I said I wanted to speak to a manager. Someone apparently called the manager ,because she shows up and tell the girl to “just give it to her it’s not worth it”. I complained on Facebook messenger and he blamed the mixup on their social media person and gave me $25 for one of their restaurants. Never did he apologize for the ungodly customer service. The young girl really should have either honored the post I showed her or gotten a manager to handle something she was incapable of doing , but with the lack of respect for me apparently this hotel needs to retrain the associates working the front desk of the hotel as well as the person responsible for customer relations. He knew there was a post like I reserved my room for yet he NEVER apologized for the behavior of the employees. They offer awesome deals if you play the slots but really need to work on the training Especially with those that have direct contact with customers.

The rate I was quoted & had an email confirmation for was not the actual rate I was charged! I was charged $40 more. When I questioned & subsequently complained, I was shut down. The supervisor didn’t have the courtesy to come out & discuss with me. It was classic BAIT and SWITCH! This was the morning of July 26, 2023.
