Travelodge Hotel - Basingstoke

We visited this Travelodge on a cycle trip purely because it was halfway between our house and Portsmouth and we heard they are bike friendly .The hotel is a little dated but has everything you need (Comfy bed, clean room and hot shower). The staff (Sharon and Chris) were fabulous and really helpful in making sure we had somewhere safe for our huge tandem. At the end of the day it's a Travelodge so you know what to expect from the accommodation but you don't really expect the staff to go above and beyond so it's great when they do.

We were pleasantly surprised by this Travelodge, not having stayed at a Travelodge for many years. We had read that it was bering refurbished very soon, but what was already on offer was fine. It was spotlessly clean with welcoming staff and we had a good night's sleep despite the hot weather. It made an excellent stopover on our way to Southampton and we would definitely recommend it.

Friendly, helpful, clean and comfortable , very basic but lots of close by facilities, Havester just next door which is great

From arrival to checkout, I have nothing but praise for the team we met at this hotel. Manager Sharon, always great for a chat, and always smiling. Danny, great checking, helping with any requests and generally all round great guy. Cheryl, great housekeeping and ready to help even in the early hours after a night out. Nothing was to much trouble for any of them. The room was completely perfect, clean, tidy and cool over a very hot summer weekend. I cannot fault the hotel at all, we had the best stay, again! My only warning, don't park under the trees!!!

Perfect location plenty parking space very quiet room very clean and bed linen nice and fresh even though dogs are allowed and we’re there we didn’t hear them all in all a lovely hotel thank you
