Chewton Glen Hotel - an Iconic Luxury Hotel

Wow - what a place! A truly special hotel, with top-end hospitality and service at its heart. The hotel is approached via a sweeping drive through beautiful grounds, and the friendly and knowledgeable porters are on hand at the door to take your bags and park your car while you check in. The public areas are stunning - including gorgeous lounges, all beautifully furnished and opulently decorated, with a couple of log fires to add to the ambience. Our Junior Suite was huge, with a giant king size bed, sitting area, and a very luxurious bathroom. The shower was awesome! We ate dinner at the Kitchen - the less formal dining venue, at the bottom of the drive (the porters will drive you there, if you don’t fancy the short walk). A relaxed menu (from pizzas and gourmet burgers upwards), at fair prices. Breakfast was without doubt the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. Wonderful cold buffet selection, including premium fruits and top quality orange juice), with hot breakfast items available to order or from the buffet. Excellent kipper! We spent plenty of time in the spa, with its huge hydrotherapy pool, outdoor hot tub and heated loungers. The staff throughout were excellent - professional, efficient and friendly. A fabulous stay!

We stayed in a treehouse suite at the end of October. We had to wait to check k in as our room wasn’t ready, but once in the suite- wow!! Absolutely stunning. So so comfortable and absolutely everything was thought of. We loved our hot tub and the morning delivery of fresh goods was such a treat. Dinner in the Dining Room was a little disappointing, but all other facilities including the spa area were gorgeous. Big thanks to the Treehouse Concierge team for looking after us so well.

Myself and friend booked as special treat to ourselves for our special birthday. What can I say .. a beautiful stunning looking place & beautiful grounds. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. We checked in and were upgraded to a junior suite which was so unexpected. We were shown around the hotel and taken to our room where we found champagne chilling on ice & chocolates and fruit with a card from the hotel.. what an absolute lovely thing to do. The room was beautiful with doors opening onto a private patio. The bed was spotless and the bathroom was so big with everything you needed. We had booked a cooking afternoon with James Martin at the restaurant called the kitchen. Which was a fabulous experience, and James was great. We were taken by curtesy of the hotel to the restaurant at the end of the drive and also returned back afterwards. The staff could not do enough for us. Breakfast was plentiful and the dining room was lovely & spotless. We had a walk around the hotel afterwards to see what else there is to offer, a spar pools , nail bar to name a few things we came across.. We had a wonderful time & I can’t fault anything, it was so nice..

Nothing quite compares to our stay at Chewton Glen. From the exceptional food to the incredibly friendly staff, every detail was perfect. Our room was beautiful, with stunning garden views and lovely bathroom products. There was lots to do, including stunning walks through the grounds to the nearby beach, a visit to the relaxing spa with hydrotherapy pools and a game of croquet on the lawns. We also visited the kitchen garden, which was a treat. Chewton Glen is simply stunning and has the most attentive, friendly staff.

Afternoon tea as a birthday treat and what a treat. Cannot thank the staff enough they were perfect made us feel very special . Marie and our waiter who took endless photos great conversation . Thank you to the chefs. My birthday chocolate and candle was such a lovely touch. Food was amazing sandwiches had butter the selection of bread and fillings fabulous . My favourite was blackcurrant tart wow the pastry just melted. We opted for plain scones they came warm home made lemon curd was tasty. Loved the tea selection . We were offered extras which we declined contented and full. We were given a box of goodies to take home. If you want to be spoilt then chewton glen is for you. We will be back
