Mission Springs Resort

The wife and I needed a place to stay for a family emergency and this place truly brightened up our spirits. The place was neat, spotlesss and extremely cozy/relaxing. Also comfortable. I slept very well. We were able to walk a short distance to the beach area and see the beautiful lake superior. Ashland was also across the way. The cottage was in a nice area and Katie gave all the information needed to make finding the place easy and check in go smoothly. Will definitely be coming back.

This cabin stay was incredible! The lakeside view alone is worth every penny — waking up to the sun rising over the water and watching the peaceful lake in the evenings was absolutely magical. The cabin itself was cozy and beautifully maintained, with a rustic charm and all the modern amenities you could want. The fireplace was a highlight, creating the perfect atmosphere for cozy nights in. We spent hours unwinding by the fire, and it truly made the stay feel extra special. The kitchen incredibly useful, making it easy to cook, and the bed was so comfortable. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with breathtaking lake views and a warm, welcoming space, this is the place. We can’t wait to come back! Five stars, easily.

We rented Cabin #5 and had an excellent time. The cabin was beautiful with high end finishes and immaculately clean. We had great communications & quick responses with the owner. This is a very well maintained property and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Highly recommend!

We just got back from staying in cottage #2. We were visiting my wife's family. She had grown up in Washburn as a child and always wanted to stay at Mission Springs. She was not disappointed!!! We camp pretty often and are outdoors people. It was great to have free wood and a fire pit provided along with a charcoal grill. Plus you can't beat the view there on Lake Superior. :) We went to both the small beach and the larger one just a couple cabins down and they were wonderful. Katie checked in with us a few times to see if we needed anything, but honestly they had everything there. We will be back!

We stayed in cabin #5 for 3 nights for a mom/daughter get-away and it was just beautiful! The kitchen is so well stocked with every thing you need to cook and cleanup with. Seriously, you only need to bring food and drinks. The gift of local chocolate ice cream in the freezer was a bonus and so good! King sized bed was very comfortable and the bathroom makes me want to redo ours at home. We loved having a fire in the pit and that wood was provided. Top notch, super clean (kudos to the cleaning service!), quiet and comfortable. We hope to be back!

We stayed 2 nights this week in Cabin 5. This is a very modern and bright cabin and perfect for 2 people. Full kitchen with everything you'll need to cook your own meals. Neat "fake" electric fireplace with blue or orange flames. King size bed was comfy and soft. Plenty of storage. We really liked the shelving in the kitchen and bath. Nice toiletries. We brought our own coffee but they also provide regular coffee and K-Cups for both machines. This was excellent as we both drink a lot of coffee! The owners also leave some really tasty chocolate mint ice cream in the freezer from a local company. There's a good sized TV and a comfy couch and one reading chair. Cute table and chairs as well as a few games to play. It was cold, windy with rain/snow while we were there so we didn't really get to enjoy the beach but we did go down to look at the lake for a while and watch the waves. You are allowed to have a fire (each cabin has their own fire pit) anytime after 5:00 p.m. but there was no small kindling or newspaper to start one and the wood provided was damp so we were bummed not to be able to do that. The only other thing we didn't like, which is just a personal preference, was the overhead lights in the cabin were extremely blindingly bright with no way to dim them. So we just had to use the one lamp and stove light. Bathroom had 3 light options and 2 were warm so that was good. That said, we still rate this a five star place to stay and we will definitely be back again when it gets warmer out. Also-it would be nice to meet the owners. You check in and out by a text or phone call so that was a little strange! The area has nothing around it so you have to drive to Ashland for food or things to do (be aware, there is nothing open in Bayfield in November, we drove all the way there for nothing). Next time we'll try another cabin for a change up. Great place in the winter as it's very quiet.
