Casa San Francesco

We have just returned from a weeks skiing in Bardonecchia and surrounding area. This hotel is just perfect for the slopes, only a few mins walk to the main Campo Smith lift. It ticked all the boxes for us. First of all we drove from the UK so the large free car park was a bonus, always plenty of space so no anxiety re. parking. Good coms before arriving, given the go ahead to park early on our morning of arrival which was very helpful. The staff in the hotel are for sure a great asset. Yannis, Stephano, chef and the cleaning team were all super friendly and excellent in their individual roles, all incredibly hard working. The hotel was warm and cosy, lovely underfloor heating as well as radiators in our bedroom and endless hot water. and good powerful showers. Traditional furnishings which were a bit old fashioned but this adds to the charm. All areas of the hotel were super clean and the bed was so comfy with good quality mattress. Food was fabulous and we enjoyed delicious fresh homemade cake at breakfast time along with cereal, yogurt, croissants, juices and fruit with freshly made coffees. There was toasts with jams etc and biscuits too. Dinner in the evening was always looked forward to, choices made in the morning is a good idea to help avoid waste. We loved the little plate of surprise appetisers before our delicious starter, usually pasta, then main course and dessert. You don’t go hungry in this hotel. 100% recommended and check out the prices - cheapest half term ski hotel we have ever had and for quality & location it will be hard to beat. It is also near the Milky Way resorts and as we had the car we skied in Sauze d’Oulx, Sestriere and Claviere. Parking was very close to the slopes and only had to pay 5 euros for a full days parking in Sauze d’Oulx and it was free in the other 2 resorts. Fay and Andy.

Siamo stati con amici dal 28 dicembre 2023 a 2 gennaio 2024 . Convento che si fa pagare come un albergo. Stanze piccole,un piccolo armadio,letti singoli con materassi di diffaltezza 10cm,cuscini scomodissimo,materassi da sostituire, bagno porta doccia rimaneva aperta soffione doccia era come tener aperto un rubinetto da lavandino. Il riposo notturno è stato stressante si sentiva qualsiasi cosa tra u a stanza e l'altra,praticamente il bagno della camera affianco era come averlo affianco al letto una vero e proprio disagio e quando si facevano la doccia sembrava di essere sotto ad una cascata. Tramite le pareti riuscivamo a capire se utilizzava il bagno un uomo o una donna. Pulizia stanza non mi è sembrata presente,ho lasciato affianco a letto a terra uno stecchino di legno e ci è rimasto per 4 giorni fino alla partenza. Ricovero sci e scarponi era il magazzino da 1x2mt dove era pieno di sacchi di panni da lavare,triste. Abbiamo fatto la mezza pensione,quasi sufficiente.

Ambiente accogliente, posto tranquillo. In Stefania e Stefano non potevano trovare persone migliori per condurre la struttura. Peccato che non c'è più Dario. Mi sono trovata così bene che quest'anno ho prenotato nuovamente. Non andrei in nessun altro posto.
