Very good service from the F&B team at the cafe, both at breakfast and dinner.
However, there were some issues with other services. No towels were changed in two of the rooms upon make up the rooms. I approached the reception and inquired why the towels hadn’t been changed. The receptionist responded, "Okay, we will change them now."
I also requested two sets of cutlery and dinner plates from the operator. Two minutes later, I received a call back informing me that, "After 9:30 PM, the F&B team is no longer working. If you need cutlery, you must come to the reception and collect it yourself."
I personally went down to the reception counter and made the request again. The receptionist then told me to get the cutlery and plates from the restaurant staff!
As a 4-star hotel, is it standard practice not to have a runner available 24 hours to fulfill guest requests?
Having worked in hotel industry for 5 years, I am disappointed by the lack of hospitality displayed by the Front Office team. The front desk is the face of the property, and unfortunately, this hotel failed to provide friendly, helpful, and courteous staff both at the front desk and in housekeeping.
To the higher management of BY THE BLANKET, your Front Office team urgently needs training in customer service to meet the standards expected of a hotel of this caliber.
