Chakrabongse Villas

In 1891, the last Tsar of Russia visited Siam and impressed with the great hospitality provided by the Thai Royal Family. In return Tsar Nicholas II invited Prince Chakrabongse to study in St. Petersburg and stayed in the Palace. Nowadays the legacy is continued at Chakrabongse Palace. As a Royal guesthouse, it offers courteous service. Khun Ohm makes our stay an unforgettable once in a lifetime experience. He helped us to watch the Royal Barge together with the descendants of Prince Chakrabongse. Everyone at the Palace went extra miles to ensure our stay was a memorable one, even before we checked in. Ms. Atom helped me to keep the book about Tsar Nicholas II that I bought online. My biggest regret is only being able to stay for one night because this is a work trip. But for sure if next time I'm having a holiday in Bangkok, I'll come back again to this Palace

We spent 5 nights at the fabulous Chakrabonge Villas, in the river view suite. We loved everything about this hotel. The photos don't really do it justice. The suite was very clean and comfortable and the private terrace overlooking the river was a beautiful setting for the huge delicious breakfast. Mr Ohm and Atom were perfect and charming hosts and helped us with transport to wherever we wanted to go, mostly by tuktuk which we really enjoyed. We only had time to have dinner there one night and it was the best food we had during our trip. We should have skipped some other places and eaten there more instead. The pool was lovely and quiet for early morning dips and the grounds are a joy to walk through. If you hate generic tower chain hotels, stay here, you won't regret it. Also book their airport pickup, it went very smoothly.

A beautiful oasis set in old Bangkok. Nestled next to the busy river Chao Praya. This charming establishment provides welcome respite. If you stay here I highly recommend taking breakfast which is served overlooking the river. The food is delicious and plentiful. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a lovely pool surrounded by lush greenery.

Atom and Ohm provided amazing service before our arrival and during our stay. They are the best! The location, setting and atmosphere were a perfect fit for us and really helped us to have a fun and memorable 5 nights in Bangkok. Highly recommended!

Exceptional location and warm hospitality. Our family of four booked one of the river suites and one of the garden rooms for 4 days over Christmas. First off, the property is a gem in the heart of the historic area. It makes it very easy to walk to many of the top sites, take the ferry, see the flower and medicine markets and more. Secondly, both Atom and Ohm and their warmth made the stay exceptional. They provided so much historical and local knowledge that was pure gold. Thirdly, the owner, the third generation from one of the last kings, was in town, and she kindly sent around champagne for Christmas. A nice touch. And finally, the river view for dinner and breakfast was lovely. This is a true oasis in the heart of Bangkok. Skip the soulless hotel and experience a Thai boutique villa.
