Hotel Nepomuk

The view over the water was magic. The room was light filled, large, comfortable and well designed . Bathroom well lit and plenty of bedside power points. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant where we experienced the best quality food and faultless service. All hotel staff were professional and helpful. Can’t fault this hotel

This hotel is in a great location with an easy walk to beautiful old town Bamberg. The hotel staff were all wonderful, and check-in was easy. The hotel has a small but swift lift, and opposite, an easy set of curving stairs to access when without luggage. Our room was cozy with adequate space for two people and luggage. There was no mini fridge but the front desk will happily store anything perishable in theirs. The bed was comfortable and each side had a nightstand with power outlets behind the headboard--perfect for two people to charge devices at their own bedside. There was no air conditioning but the room temperature was comfortably warm during our stay; I can imagine in summer it could be hot. The bathroom had a shower (only) and while the hot water stayed hot, the water pressure was quite low. The towels were on the thin side but large enough. There were several moldy spots on the shower ceiling and upper wall; housekeeping or maintenance needs to give that a good scrubbing. Loved the trash solution of just a cutout in the countertop to drop in tissues & such. The wall-mounted magnifying mirror was a great touch. The WiFi was strong (thank you!) & password protected. There is no parking at this hotel but there are several garages & very small open-air lots within a few minutes from the hotel. The hotel restaurant was nice, and the bar was a perfect hang on a rainy day. The staff at both were very friendly. Despite the very few issues, I would happily stay here again.

The location is amazing, right in the middle of the river, with amazing view. Several older buildings were combined with modern extensions. My room was modern and very nice. The hotel restaurant was delicious. I ended up having breakfast there both mornings I was there, as well as a lunch and a dinner. All the food was first class. I will definitely stay and eat there on my next trip to Bamberg. Indeed, knowing this hotel is available makes it more likely I will return!

The hotel is approximately a 20 minute walk from the train station and is located in the old town in a picture perfect setting. We were really happy with the location as we could access all the sights and were close to restaurants, pubs, bakeries and shops. Hotel Nepomuk is comfortable and the modern interior is quite a contrast to the surrounding area. The staff were friendly and welcoming and when we departed, we were given a little takeaway bag with juice and a muffin for our trip. Overall, a beautiful town and a lovely stay at the hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Nepomuk. The hotel is located in a great location, very picturesque and an easy walk to everything. We had a car but with prior information and great directions from the hotel we easily found the parking station nearby. The hotel staff that we encountered during our stay were all very pleasant, helpful and welcoming. We didn’t eat at the restaurant so cannot comment but there are plenty of dining options available nearby. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious though with the windows open for the breeze we did at times get a little noise from the street below but nothing too disturbing. Overall a very enjoyable stay here.

We loved our stay at Hotel Nepomuk. The best things was the position and location of the hotel. We had fantastic views from our room, and it was quite, but in easy commute to all the best Bamberg has to offer. Bamberg is a definite favourite, and we loved walking around this beautiful city, then returning to a quiet and clean room. The room was comfortable. We didn’t have breakfast so cannot speak to the food at Hotel Nepomuk. The staff were indifferent. Some were very pleasant and others appeared a little surly. Perhaps it was the time of year. Having said that, I’d definitely stay again as we found the location to be perfect.
