Our hosts were very helpful and knowledgeable, making excellent breakfasts to order and even doing a load of laundry for us. We stayed in Room 1, which was spacious and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the town is a great place to visit, with lots of good restaurants and great walking trails. Perfect hiking weather when we visited the first week of April, sunny and cool.

Lovely guesthouse. Close to the centre. Breakfast was great. The room was on the 2nd floor and was spotlessly clean and warm. There was a great view from the window. A great selection of board games is available if the weather isn't being kind. We would definitely stay there again.

Beth and Steve are very warm and welcoming hosts. They helped us with useful information on the area and insights that only come from being locals. The Guest house is in the perfect location for exploring Ballater and for visiting Balmoral Castle and surrounds. Our room had amazing views of the mountains and the township. The breakfast was all that we could desire, with variations for different tastes.

Lovely one night stay at the Gordon, very comfy room and bed and a delicious breakfast. Lots of great information about the area and the binoculars for birdwatching from the room were a nice touch. Beth and Steve were perfect hosts. I will definitely return!

Absolutely perfect stay, Beth & Steve couldn’t have been more welcoming. Room was huge with wonderful view. Breakfast was delicious. Parking right outside and just the right amount of quiet and bustle. Great local advice. Would return any time. 10/10 👌

Very nice and clean B&B in central Ballater. We stayed in Room 1 - a large room with a beautiful view of the mountains and stationbuilding. Breakfast was delicious and the staff warm and welcoming. Wish we could have stayed more than one night.

The Gordon Guest house is located conveniently close to the centre of the town, perfect for exploring the quaint town of Ballater. The room was very spacious and the TV even includes Netflix, BBC I player and ITV 4. I also enjoyed a lovely breakfast which included fresh pancakes, the menu was extremely varied and had a wide variety of vegetarian options as well, which my family enjoyed. The owners are lovely and I felt very much at home during our stay. I hope to return soon and would highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t visited already.

Exceptional service from beginning to end. I was travelling on business and had to change my plans a couple of times - they were more than happy to accommodate me. In addition they recommended and booked a nearby hotel (The Alexandra) for dinner - first class too! Will be back in the area soon on business and will make sure to stay there again.

What a great experience! Beth greeted us warmly, and showed us to our room. This is the best B&B room we’ve ever had! Spacious bedroom with a dual reclining sofa, en suite with a jacuzzi tub, and a fabulous view! We chose our breakfast and time to eat, and it was perfect! Served with a smile and expertly prepared. We hope to go back and stay with Beth and Steve, and explore more of Ballater and the surrounding area
