I recently stayed at Sun Island and overall had a pleasant experience, though there were a few noteworthy points. Firstly, the staff truly made my stay enjoyable. They were consistently friendly and welcoming, which added a personal touch to my visit. Breakfast offered a decent selection with the basics—eggs, toast, coffee, fresh fruit, and cereal. However, be prepared to pay extra if you want bacon. The hotel features two pools: one on the 3rd floor, which is a lovely spot to relax, and a rooftop pool that’s perfect for tanning. However, I found the rooftop lacking in atmosphere, and the wooden deck around the pool is in need of repair—it felt quite unsafe. My room was comfortable with effective air conditioning, but the TV was quite outdated, so I didn't use it. I appreciated the water dispenser in the hallway for filling up my bottles, which is a nice touch. The hotel's location is fantastic, just a short walk from the beach, bars, restaurants, convenience stores, and a shopping center. The major downside of my stay was the noise from barking dogs at the building next to the hotel. There is about 10-15 dogs living there. It was disruptive, I could hear it on the 4th floor in the mornings, afternoons and evenings, and while trying to relax by the pool during sunset. Overall, Sun Island has great potential but could benefit from addressing a few issues. With some upgrades and improvements, it could be an exceptional place to stay. I will definitely stay here again, I will just make sure to request a room on the opposite side of where the dogs are.

Saw lots of comments worst and best and a im a bit afraid!!! but still decide to stay anyway for me here was awesome!!!! better than i thought from reading bad comments haha maybe im lucky? Room was great clean with good smell, bed is good decorate is well and modern AC is cool!! Bathroom were average still some water stain but for me it just small thing compare to the price we get. Staff were nice and welcome. we required for connecting room and we get as we want. Thank you! Corridor is clean and food decoration (love the style) love that they have water machine dispenser for guest to refill water. Location, i think around hotel traffic is pretty jam so recommend for walk or if you wanna get taxi you gotta use more time than ususal also in the map hotel was close to the beach but there are no way to walk through the beach direct so me and my friend take 15-20 walking to Kuta beach Breakfast is great but not variety not much of choices but love that they always have herb drink and indonesian traditional snack for you to try in breakfast line still have to say we love it here anyways :)

The beds were extremely comfortable, breakfast had amazing choices, friendly staff and great location

Good hotel . We stayed here for one night only. So, didn’t use much of their services. There is a mart right opposite to the hotel and line of restaurants. So very convenient

Overall, it’s a good hotel to stay. You can enjoy the night life of Bali in walking distance.

A fabulous hidden gem. Rooms, food, location and service are all fine but the rooftop infinity pool is extraordinary!

Best place to stay if you want near in kuta beach, 10-15 mins walk. Near clubs and restos, and near ole ole markets. Great place to stay. Affordable with infinity pool. Breakfast was good. Great selection. Usually the traffic around the area is moderate to heavy since it is located to manu establishments

Stayed here as a solo traveller, i absolutely loved my experience. The room was comfy, the location was great, the breakfast spread was good too. I recommend bringing your own shampoo though because my hair became very matted after using it but apart from that, the hotel staff were really kind and helpful too. Would come back again :)

More than disappointed with this hotel. Advertised as having a cocktail bar, swim up bar etc but didn't serve cocktails or spirits. Only alcohol served was bintang. Rooftop pool was closed for maintenance but this was not mentioned at time of booking. Infinity pool pleasant but whole area was tired and needing repair. Rooms were small, but clean. Biggest plus was the bed - it as extremely comfortable. Bathroom was tiny and needed maintenance. Balcony was no larger than 1ft in width. Just large for one person to stand out there. View was of a roof, not the garden view they advertised. This was also for the upgraded deluxe room. Staff were friendly but hotel lacked amenities so had no real need to ask for anything. Location was good, despite being next to a dog refuge? 10+ dogs regularly barking from the next door balcony. Breakfast was well below average. Nothing compared to similar types of hotels I've stayed at. Despite paying for breakfast in my room rate, chose to eat out due to poor food. The restaurant and bar was average food and didn't serve alcohol. Bintang & mocktails only!!!

Very nice place, swimming pool is awesome and you can take photo for your IG☺️ breakfast is delicious, I would recommend to my friends to stay here, stuff very nice and friendly🫶🏼

Very good hotel. It's worth the money. Easy access to metro. Exceptional helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable bed and room. Quite. Nice gym and sauna. Good location. Breakfast is good. The only thing I suggest is that they prepare the fried eggs when you need them (they were cold and omelette was very plain)

Great place to stay. Cheap prices. Close to loads of bars and restaurants. Beach is a short ride away. Or a 15min walk. Recommend for adults. Area around hotel isn’t ideal for families or young children. Great place. I’ve stayed here twice now. Would stay again.

The impressions of the hotel were bad: for such a price, a very small room where you can't turn around; dust, scuffs from old age (repairs have not been done for a very long time). At 3:30 a.m., I woke up to a roar-a pipe in the toilet burst from old age and rust, the staff did not even apologize, but simply shrugged. Intermittently broken elevator, rotten shower gel. I understand that the hotel is located in the party part of Bali, but I think it's not okay to give up on guests so much, but only ask for money. I won't come back and I don't recommend it
