Poor communication, was told 1 hr for the room to be ready, 2 and half hrs later still no room. Spent almost 500000 IDR at the bar while waiting, they kept saying room will he ready soon. No real attempt to compensate for it. 1 drink removed from the bill. But actually wasn't. The bar called my room saying I needed to sign for it, I spoke to reception about it, reception snapped at me and said it had been done. At dinner that night, that drink was added on to my bill. They said reception had not told them anything about it. Very embarrassing...finally resolved. The bed sheets, duvet cover and pillow cases were dirty and stained. Asked twice for them to be changed before they finally were. Asked for handsoap, it never arrived. Requested for the towels to be changed the next day but only the dirty ones were taken and none were replaced. Had to get soap, shower gel and towels from house keeping myself. The beach on what they call their private beach is very dirty. No attempt to keep it clean of rubbish that has washed up with the tide. Resort itself is ok, the restaurant options aren't the best but ok if only there for a short stay...not a great end to my trip. I was offered free transport to the airport which they claimed to be worth 450000 but grab only charge 850000 so not the greatest of gestures considering the stay was disappointing, especially the way the front of house reception team handled it all, and bearing in mind how much you actually spend on the resort with their over the top prices, tax and service charge added at the end....bar and restaurant staff were amazing however. Didn't have enough time to use the other facilities. Breakfast was edible, coffee was poor. But this seems to he the case in all hotels/resorts/homestay in Bali. If you want an espresso, cappuccino, latte or anything else you have to pay extra. At breakfast you only get the basic weak coffee.
