Avillion Villa Cinta @Sanur, Bali

WARNING ON EXTRA PAYMENTS TAKEN! Be aware - this property states US dollars, but be prepared to pay much more and definitely don’t book directly through hotel. They say payment is taken at time of booking, but that might allow you time to know what they are up to - quite intentionally! They wait till your relaxed half way through your stay and not noting details so much - then process payment. You will be stung and pay much more than expected as they convert your currency to US, then it’s converted again to MYR/Malaysian Ringgit..!!! We were furious about this as we ended up paying an exorbitant amount to stay at this nice, but basic accommodation which was way overpriced for what we got - with a very basic breakfast, no bathroom lighting, basic if not bodgy tv, dated amenities, very old scrappy swim towels - all done on the cheap. We should have stayed at the Hilton or other very upmarket accommodation for the price we ended up paying! Staff were nice and tried to be helpful- but the owner is obviously greedy and dishonest- so beware!!!

On the beach, but very hard to get to. Very sparsely vegetated and looking very old. Wouldn't stay there again, but staff are fantastic. Food was good but there's nothing outside of the hotel just beach

We are back at Villa Cinta for the time since Covid 2019. Nothing has changed- it is still fantastic. Beachfront with 6 villas around a good sized pool. The staff here are first rate and always friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast. This is our third stay here and it won’t be the last.

The pool is not usable as the water temperature is too warm day or night there is no shade over the pool area, the tiles are slimy and at night the pool is occupied by frogs. The air conditioning in one villa was so cold we had to keep turning off as you cannot regulate temperature the second villa aircon was hot! Breakfast was very basic. These villas are advertised as luxury they are far from it. Staff ogress to a price per night on arrival then presented us with a bill for almost twice the amount on our second night of five! Needless to say we checked out 3 nights early.
