Le Cliff Bali

This hotel has a incredible view and is right on Padang Padang beach BUT it's down 6 flights of stairs and the hotel's layout is very steep and dangerous. I didn't enjoy the service as you can't call room service and have to walk all the way down to the bar because you can't order from Reception or the actual Kitchen. The food and drinks were good though. My bathroom opened up to the public beach and was outside of my room so there was no privacy. The rooms look well kept and big on the photos but let me assure you they are mouldy and very small.

Lo consiglio a persone SPORTIVE, surfisti in quanto ci sono da fare 5 piani a piedi dall'arrivo del taxi all'ingresso del Hotel, lo stesso se si deve andare alla spiaggia con l'alta area

Good views on the cliff overlooking impossibles. Not much beach out front. Be prepared for LOTS of stairs. Not for the elderly or mobility impaired. One thing we did not like was that in order to get to the Padang-Padang beach, you had to "go back up and around" aka walk back up all the stairs to the top, walk back along the narrow sketchy laneway (blind corners for oncoming vehicles) with nasty garbage along the sides back to the main road and then pay to access down to Padang-Padang beach. Along the laneway, there is no drainage and it rained and we had to walk through a knee-deep pool of gross brown garbage water. Ick! I had to carry my gf on my back. Other than that it's nice, the food was okay. I would just say you are paying for the location and getting less than you would at other places at this price point - the price is inflated due to Padang-Padang being very touristy and popular now and you get less than you should at this price point. 3 star value for a 4 star price.

Fabulous location once you are there. Yes there are a lot of steps to get there, whilst you are there and if you want to go anywhere but it adds to the charm as well as the sweat. We were in room 6 which was spacious, clean with great views back to Main Break and baby Padang and the beginning section of Impossibles. The bathroom was very large and outdoors but clean and functional. Food at the resort was good and Dream sea is right next door but they do give priority to their own guests. You are right on top of the surf so if the tides are high at night it can be very noisy from the waves but we are used to that so didn't really worry us. The monkeys are a pain so don;t leave anything outside. They ransacked by toiletry bag ( my fault for leaving outside ) and bizarrely they stole my fin bag with a number of fins, tools and ding repair kit so don't leave anything outside and make sure doors are locked. They normally come after lunch. The babies are cute but the larger males can be quite intimidating. I think some people forget that they are in Indonesia when writing reviews as it is pretty difficult to get anything dry ever and there is always a pervading aroma of dankness and drains even when you are in the large 5 star places. If you love surfing or watching surfing then you would struggle to get a better position anywhere on the Bukit. We had a good swell kick in when we were there and it was amazing watching people getting double overhead barrels at Padang from our deck.

Absolutely breathtaking, unique, dreamy hotel! The staff was extremely accommodating (helped bring our bags up the stairs), there are scooter rentals onsite, the restaurant is delicious, and we could see the entire horizon right from bed. The beach is stunning with shells at every step. You feel like you're in a fairytale from dusk to dawn. The stairs might be much for some, but every step is worth it with views like that! Can't wait to come back!

The most amazing place we have ever stayed as a couple together. We were in room 8 which is suspended just above the water. At low tide you can walk around the corner to Padang Padang Beach or paddle your surfboard to Padang Padang or Impossibles. We've actually stayed here 3 times now as we cannot stay away. This place is special! The staff is friendly and helpful. The room itself is lovely, but the setting so unmatched. Book this room or another one at Le Cliff. You will be so happy that you did.
