It’s amazing hotel ! Beautiful etno-style design, excellent view, great service, tasty and interesting food in restaurant (very good breakfast), silence, calmness and wonderful spa . I really like everything in this hotel, thank you ! Almost without annoying mosquitoes (compare to another places of Bali). Every corner of this hotel is so beautiful! Your own lodge is quite big and comfortable, very nice bathroom, if you like lodge style. The only drawback is going uphill by transfer (you couldn’t go it another way) - the road very narrow and steep. But if you regard it as an adventure, it will be fun. I really enjoy my time in this wonderful lodge-hotel and I regretted that I didn't book this lodge longer.

Amazing unique location and view from the pool area. Great restaurant

The hotel have a stunning view with a beautiful pool and elegant decoration only point is the access.. remote on the hill the road is very very bad. I came by bike it was pretty dangerous once you are there you don’t really want to go out. People there are very friendly but they could be a little bit more present, they don’t come to you often by the pool and leave the food plates on the side.. but overall it’s a lovely place to stay. Massage where relaxing

主要坐4*4小卡車上山，15分鐘顛簸以後你就會進入仙境，山海在這裏相逢。這是全別墅酒店，每一棟都擁有海景，坐落在山脈與大海之間。這裏適合比較宅的情侶過來入住，食品很美味，景色很美好，這就是傳説中的野奢

路非常爛，在偏遠的山頂，不是專門泡酒店的耽誤行程且對外交流相當不便，服務跟不上有些店員態度非常不好且解決問題難以溝通。沒有信號的夜晚或凌晨，非常無助，安全性難以保證。需要服務的時候打電話酒店前台也沒有人值班。

Hôtel incroyable

Thank you very much, my stay here was very chill. The most beautiful places are very difficult to reach. They are far away. Well, this is a real pearl among the mountains. I was amazed by everything: the friendliness of the staff, the quality of alcoholic cocktails, a very varied delicious cuisine, great breakfasts, I visited the spa twice, I have not experienced such relaxation for a long time, I can generally write separate poems about the bed - how it smells, how comfortable the pillows are, what a view of the ocean from it, how clean the room is, such soft cool towels, the view from the pool is simply stunning. I was here only two nights, but even this short stay was able to dissolve all my stress! Thank you very much, I will gladly recommend you!

Mathis at Amed is stunningly beautiful. It is perched high on a hill overlooking the sea with views which seem unreal until you see them. The service is excellent, the food is very quality (no illness at all!) and has a great mix of Indonesian and western cuisine. The cleanliness throughout is unimpeachable (which is inportant) and the staff are incredibly obliging and attentive. The spa is charming and well worth a visit. The excursions too are reasonably priced (if slightly more expensive than if sourced down in the village) and assure a level of quality and service (e.g. going out on a boat and snorkelling in good places, rather than just being given a mask on the beach) that you cant guarantee if haggling and arranging yourself elsewhere. Morning sunrise trek (5am start!) was particularly worthwhile. It is very secluded, and the initial ride up the hill might give you pause for thought! Persevere though - I promise you it is worth it! The resort itself is quite hilly too, so be prepared for that. It is perhaps less suitable for anyone with mobility issues / mention that when booking and request a room closer to the restaurant / pool area. But the 15 minute journey up and down the hill soon becomes fun! And the hotel shuttle is reliable, safe and free. We have had a truly fantastic stay. The prices are not ridiculous and you don’t feel like you are being pushed anything or taken advantage of. (There is a small shop / cafe opposite the entrance where you can buy essentials and also eat more cheaply of you wish.) Genuinely give it the highest of recommendations

Very good experience with Mathis Amed. Service was 10/10, views were incredible and amenities are well kept - only had a minor ac issue where it was turning off when it should have stayed on but with a click of a button it was working again. Only thing to consider: make sure your party is mobile and comfortable around rough roads and hazardous pathways. The lodge is high up in the hills so you will need to be walking on steep, uneven ground. Please follow the lodges advice and leave your car/transport at the pickup point and take the shuttle- do not take a chance on the windy, tiny road. Thank you Mathis team!
