Unfortunately, my six-night stay at Haere Hotel Seminyak ended up being a mistake that negatively impacted my trip.
Despite requesting a quiet room, I was constantly disturbed by noise from the street and neighboring rooms, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep.
The shower water temperature was constantly fluctuating, the bathroom has no ventilation, the room remains dimly lit despite having all the lights on, there are mosquitoes everywhere, gaps in the roof and slow wifi. Additionally, I found the pool to be dangerous as it’s very deep (1.6m) with rough tiles around the edge. Two of us sustained injuries while in the pool, and we were surprised to find that the hotel did not have any bandages available.
Before my stay at Haere Seminyak, I used to prioritize hotels located near shops and restaurants for convenience. However, my experience at the hotel has taught me the importance of prioritizing a hotel's reputation over its location. I have realized that sometimes, it is better to stay in a high-quality hotel and use taxis to get around, especially considering the affordable cost of transportation in Bali.
