Ocean Terrace Suite and Spa Luxury

Great , cozy hotel with fantastic view, it was my solo tour of the Nusa Penida , Bali . And the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable , breakfast was great too , the receptionist helped me rent a scooter for a day and also suggested on the places that I could visit.

Horrible condition of rooms - lot of insects , no proper lights in rooms and Rooms are build with wood and in bad conditions. I booked for two nights but run away within one night . Horrible

We planned a two days stay in Nusa Penida and Ocean Terrace looked from the pictures online an amazing place to find some relax in the amazing island of Nusa Penida. However, things started very bad from the very first moment. Why? If you want to get in contact with the hotel, be aware that this is a hard task that will prove your nerves. They completely ignore messages sent through booking, no email address can be found online and they hardly ever answer to the phone. After 3 painful days chasing them for an answer, we finally managed to book our transfert from the harbour to the hotel. Once arrived at the harbour, drivers of other hotels were there waiting for their guests with signboards indicating their name, but nobody was waiting for us. We contacted the hotel and they told us the driver was on his way and would have arrived in a few minutes. FALSE. After 30 minutes we were there still waiting and we decided to take a taxi. To give you the sense of how terrible this service is, it takes only 10 minutes by car from the hotel to the harbour, so from the time we contacted them, there would have been sufficient time to go back and forth three times. Finally we arrive at the hotel and you would expect the staff to apologize for what happened. NOT AT ALL. They seemed annoyed by our reasonable complaints and treated us sufficiently. Coming to the hotel, the building and the bungalows generally look nice, although quite outdated and for sure not “luxury” as the name hotel seems to suggest. Some refurbishment work would be required, but overall you could live with that and enjoy the nice view over the bali sea. The problem stays again with the services, as the floor of the rooms are quite dirty, television does not work and there is not sufficient hot water for two people. As to the breakfast, we had a tour starting at 8:00 am and were informed by the staff that we had to place our order the evening before. We were allowed to chose only one hot drink and one plate. For sure this was not the big buffet that we saw mentioned in a few comments, but rather a quite humble breakfast. Overall, this is definitely not a 4 stars luxury hotel. The hotel is in a nice position, looks quite nice and cozy but would definitely need some refurbishment works. Staff and services were very disappointing and we would therefore recommend looking somewhere else to enjoy at your best this beautiful island.

Lovely place; great location; amazing staff! Good value - a little dated or worn out in places, but that can be forgiven for the beautiful pool, garden and views. The room is spacious and has plenty of storage, and the bed is super comfy. The staff are lovely and super helpful - arranged us drivers with no troubles to get us to and from our dive shop each day. Also arranged a lovely half day tour for us on the West Side. Learnt a lot of local knowledge this way. Restaurant is good value, definitely recommend Joy Bowl for breakfast, and the mojitos are great for a sunny day! And make sure you get up for sunrise - it is perfectly outside and 100% worth it!

We always stay here everytime we go to Nusa Penida. The people are so nice and it made us feel like home. Breakfast is nice, the fruit was always fresh! The only thing is the WIFI is not strong enough. If you someone who travel and work from your computer, you’d struggle. But otherwise a great stay!

Nous avons séjourné une nuit dans cet hôtel paraissant paradisiaque mais dans lequel nous avons enchaîné déception sur déception. Nous sommes arrivées et avons été accueilli par une très gentille demoiselle qui nous a offert un cocktail d’accueil. Elle nous a ensuite menée à notre chambre (photos complètement différentes de la réalité pour ce qui est de la salle de bain qui est en fait complètement ouverte, pas de toit). Nous avons décidé de manger dans leur restaurant, miteux, nourriture très mal assaisonné, serveur sur son téléphone (besoin de se lever pour prendre le menu), il a ensuite tué un Gecko devant nous car « il était bruyant » … Nous avons passé la nuit dans notre chambre lorsqu’au réveil, nous nous sommes aperçu qu’il nous manquait 1 000 000 IDR ! Nous leur avons laissé le bénéfice du doute mais à l’heure actuelle nous sommes certaines que quelqu’un s’est introduit dans notre chambre. Personnel ? Personne extérieure ? Je ne sais pas. Ce qui est sûr est que lorsque nous avons informé l’hôtel de notre problème ils ont été « compatissant » sans nous trouver aucune solution. En réalité il s’en fichait ! Nous avions vu lors de notre arrivée qu’il était munis de caméra ce pourquoi nous avons demander de les visionner, avec un refus catégorique de leur part. Nous sommes partis de l’hôtel en les prévenant que nous mettrai un très mauvais avis à leur égards ce qui les a tout de suite mené à indiquer à Booking que nous n’avions pas séjourné dans leur hôtel ! Des menteurs et des voleurs ! Fuiez !!!
