You will immediately notice the hammocks and picnic table in the shade, the firepit out back and of course the Caddo River just steps away!Climb the stairs to the house and you will be greeted with a hot tub and more outdoor seating and a tv before reaching the door that overlooks the Caddo River from atop.Once inside, you'll see a spacious living/dining room with a tv and surround sound, one of a kind fully-equipped kitchen, and a brick accent wall leading to the staircase. The kitchen has many conveniences for your stay including: a Keurig with a variety of K-cups, a drip coffee maker, blender, microwave, crock pot, air fryer, griddle, assortment of dishes and flatware. Located at the Little Missouri River at the historic Old Factory Site. This 2 story cabin provides all you need (and everything you don’t) to get away and LIVE LAZY! One of very few homesites located near a trout release point. You can get your gear and walk right to the river to start fishing! The cabin's interior is a combination of rugged log cabin with a modern flare. The finish out is clean and simple yet continues to remind you that you are tucked away next to the Little Missouri River. This fully furnished cabin allows you to walk in and immediately GET LAZY! The downstairs has an open living/entertaining space with a full kitchen, dining area, and living area that stays the center of all the action. As you make your way to the back of the cabin you will find a full bath and full laundry room. At the very back of the cabin are two queen bedrooms separated from the living space so you get the rest you deserve! Upstairs is an additional queen bedroom, full bathroom, a hang out area with 1 queen fold out couch, and access to the balcony perfect for your morning coffee. As you make your way back down stairs and outside, you will find wrap around porches that lead you to the back of cabin entertaining space. This space includes a fire pit, park style charcoal grill, picnic table, and outside games. Wildlife is plentiful, it is not out of the ordinary to see deer in the yard, eagles flying over head, and trout swimming in the river! The Little Missouri River is controlled by the Hydroelectric Dam which is used to generate power. The river will rise as much as 3 feet when generating. The generation schedule is subject to change without notice to meet power demand. On the other side of the breezeway guests will enjoy an open concept - spacious living area including a half bath and roomy kitchen. Right on the river! Enjoy our 5 acres of secluded mountain forest perfect for getting out of the city and into nature. Just down the road from us is 37,000 acres of wildlife management area. Fish right from our deck or the riverbank. Deer and turkey abound. We are only 7 miles away from Crater of Diamonds State Park. 18 miles from Glenwood where you can kayak the Caddo River. 35 miles from Caddo Gap hiking trails and our favorite, Winding Stair hike. Bring your ATVs for nearby trails. Lake Greeson is 6 miles away and offers pontoon rentals, and boating activities. King bedroom that has the queen sleeper sofa is a DETATCHED grandmothers suite and the bunkroom on the ground floor of the main cabin with the kitchen. The property is remote and it would be difficult for a Porshe to manage the road, our neighbors Prius made the trip.... any SUV is fine. The gravel road into the cabin is a mile long and has some steep hills. The cabin is not really designed for large people. The ceiling height in the kitchen, bunk room and outdoor kitchen area is 6'2" , the indoor staircase is relatively narrow and the furniture is not designed for large people over 250 lbs. The bunks in the bunk room are really made for kids even though they are regular size twin bunks, they are not built to hold a lot of weight.We do have 3 outdoor security cameras that monitor approach and entry into the cabin. One camera monitors the road coming in and part of the parking area. One monitors the main entry door and stairs up to the balcony entry into the main cabin.
