We always recommend our guests rent a car to be fully flexible and independent. TURO is a good rental option for cars. In the winter the driveway can get icy as well as roads. We recommend a 4-wheel drive car during the winter season. NOTES: 🚨 TRAVEL INSURANCE Just a heads-up—Kodiak’s wild beauty comes with unpredictable weather! Flights and ferries are sometimes delayed or canceled due to fog, wind, or rough seas. We highly recommend travel insurance to protect your trip. ALCOHOL AND DRUGS: The consumption of alcohol or drugs while using the hot tub is strictly prohibited. These substances can impair judgment and lead to accidents. SHOWER BEFORE USE: To maintain water quality, please shower before using the hot tub to remove oils, lotions, and other contaminants. RESPECT QUIET HOURS: Be considerate of our neighbors and observe quiet hours, especially when using the hot tub during the evening. COVER REPLACEMENT & CHEMICALS: After use, add one scoop of chlorine or chlorine tab & run through jets for a few minutes. Before replacing cover make sure the lights and all jets and waterfall are turned off then securely replace the hot tub cover and ensure its properly sealed to maintain water cleanliness and heat retention. Check the seal around all edges after the lid is applied. NO GLASSWARE: For safety reasons, do not bring glassware or other breakable items into the hot tub area. Plastic cups and water bottles are provided for your convenience. PETS, OILS & BUBBLES: Pets, Oils & Bubbles are not allowed in the hot tub and will result in a $500 cleaning fee. SNOW AND ICE CAUTION: This is an outdoor hot tub, and during certain seasons, such as winter, there may be snow and ice on the deck. Please exercise caution when using the hot tub under these conditions to ensure your safety. EMERGENCY PROCEDURES: In case of any emergency or discomfort while using the hot tub, exit immediately and seek assistance if needed. Always follow safety procedures and guidelines. There is an emergency electric cut-off switch on the outside wall of the house. Please familiarize yourself with its whereabouts before hot tub use in case of an emergency. Located in a small neighborhood (with the ocean on one side and trees and city park on the other) our property overlooks the entrance to channel and nearby islands, and Pearson Cove. The Kodiak Boatyard is across the street and is typically busy in May and September when commercial fishing occurs, usually quiet in the summer. We have recently expanded our services as a fully furnished home to month to month leases for professional, project managers, or short term needs for folks, available between September and May.
