Modern living in a rustic ambience. Our vacation home on the top floor offers a wonderful view of the Atlantic. The modern-style holiday home has a spacious living room, a well-equipped kitchen directly connected to the living room, a bedroom with a double bed (150 cm) and a bathroom with toilet, sink, bidet and two-person seat shower. The flat screen Tv has satellite reception with around 450 international channels - including Bbc World and Cnn - as well as local reception with common Spanish Tv channels by switching on the remote control (international movies on most of the Spanish Tv channels can be switched to the original language). You can also ask for free Netflix. Of course, the large communal roof-terrace can also be used. Our house got glass fibre internet connection and at all of the accommodations as well as at the roof-terrace there is very good working wifi-connection. These smart rural apartments are in a 200 years old manor-house with typical patio, rambled stairs and a big sun terrace with excellent views to the mountains and the Atlantic ocean. The house is an example of Canarian architecture. It was completely reconstructed by the year 2002 and again renovated in 2011, conserving his original Canarian style. The mostly young and international guests are using the Apartamentos Monasterio de San Antonio as perfect starting point for mountain bike and walking tours as well as for trips around the varied areas of the island. The garden and fruit trees are available for you to enjoy and harvest: Oranges, Lemons, Mulberries, Mangos, Avocados, Papayas, Banana, Guavas, Figs, Grapes, Tamarillos and tropical flowers are found in the property, which fruit and bloom on their respective seasons.Other things to noteThe house was own by a French Artist who lived there for 15 years. His paintings and sculptures are embedded in the property enhance the natural beauty of this property. His work has inspired us to remodel the place using only organic natural materials. Other artsy details can be found scattered throughout the house. Our intention is to provide a spa like natural environment in an organic setting.The place is close to downtown Icod yet it feels far away from any hustle and bustle. The last 100 meters of drive way is narrow and it can be uncomfortable at first, but it gets easier.
