Our room was beautiful and offered scenic views of the bay as well as the mountains in the distance. We opted for the master suite with the pool on the balcony, which was very clean and nice. The room itself was well maintained aside from the balcony door not closing all the way which led to pests and critters being able to get inside. There was a small scorpion that got into our room, and it turns out it was a poisonous one (they were all very alarmed when I showed them a picture of what kind it was). The staff was very helpful and fumigated the room for us when we told them about it. The staff was the highlight of our trip! We appreciated the kindness they showed us- especially Lane, Alejandro, Javier and Victor. The grounds themselves could use some work. The pools that were advertised online/instagram were completely closed and we were told they were being remodeled. However, these are newer pools (we were there in 2019 and the triangular pools were not installed at that time, so they were added after that) so I don't understand why they were being remodeled so soon. Another guest mentioned that they heard that tower with the new pools had actually been sold, so not sure what's going on, but they were not available. There were only two regular pools and one natural pool available during our stay. The last two days one of the regular pools was also made unavailable and closed down. The natural pool was very serene and beautiful despite construction being done all around us- the noise made it a bit more difficult to enjoy. Our favorite part was the beach club as they had decent food and fans to cool off under. Half of the resort was sold to Marriott since we last came so there were already less ground and pools than in 2019. There is also no entertainment at this resort and it felt like a ghost town aside from the two to three other parties we ran into during our stay. I know it's the down season but we visited the Delta by Marriott next door during one of our days there and they had hundreds of people there with plenty of entertainment. The food could use some work for vegetarians, but they did the best they could to accommodate us. I think the food has improved since our last trip! However, there are a lot of repeating options and not much variety throughout the week. I would also recommend LGBTQIA+ training for staff as my new wife was referred to as my friend several times throughout our stay despite having told them in advance more than once that it was our honeymoon. I don't think we would stay again due to the lack of amenities and lack of communication about what is/isn't available as far as pools. However, it was nice to spend our honeymoon in a place that we went once before for memory's sake.

Winter break at the Rivera Nayarita…outstanding ! I researched this all inclusive resort, mixed ratings though I opted to give it a chance. Stayed 5 days, 4 nights- at the Safiro Tower. The complex has several pools and restaurants. One aspect I liked is that is in the upper hills; quiet and away from crowded beaches. That was nice! It does have beach club… simple but works. Mobility can be a challenge, but i had a van, so no issues. Food is good quality, no complains.. great service. In summary, for the price I paid for four of us it was worth every penny. Just the food and drinks.. it paid it self.

Nestór and Joel are very attentive waiters. They kept our table nice and clean. Ferdinando is an entertaining waiter. I enjoyed our conversation with him and he taught us some Spanish to help us while we were in Mexico. Alejandro is the driver who was very helpful and gave us great information about the city and how to get around. Margarito at the beach was very nice and help us translate with vendors. Sarahi and Janet were always smiling and nice to us when we came to the restaurant.

If you are looking for the best service, friendly staff, helpful staff… this is where you need to be. “Teddy bear” aka Daniel Alvarado was both a great staff member and informative guide to the area. If you want to relax and recuperate this is the place.

Ulises is the guy to have as a server he's fast and very polite! Neri at the beach club knows his drinks and is always there to take care of you! Manuel ( bell boy) will help you with whatever you need he has information on anything fun to do around town. The views are breathtaking and stunning. Top floor bar is a nice place to get a drink and see the views. Overall this was an amazing experience and I will be returning soon!

If you look forward to escaping people, sometimes having animation team to yourself. Amazing modern accommodation in the jungle then this is the place to unwind food was cooked to order sometimes heaven for me and my wife. But I can understand if that's not what you want with there poor reviews

This resort is nestled in the hills of La Cruz away from the hustle of the busy beach front locations it provides quite and privacy that are truly magical. It is a 10 minute cab ride to a number of locations that are both safe and enjoyable. However the resort did not live up to the beauty of is surroundings. The accommodations were average, the housing keeping services were very poor as the rooms only received making of bed and clean towels. There was no cleaning of any type. The example we can provide of our accommodations is such that upon arrival at our room the smoke detectors were beeping and our toilet was not working at all. We reported it the front desk for service with no response. We eventually had to change rooms. The lack of response was very concerning especially with regards to the smoke detectors which only were powered by battery. The grounds were very well maintained except for the pool areas where tiles were either loose or missing with large voids on the bottom of the pool missing tiles. Please be aware of the all inclusive option as the value is not worth the expense. The cost per person does not warrant the quality of the food and beverages. Our choices were limited after a few days to buffet style only as the sit down dinning option (which had great food) was closed. While open the restaurants on property both buffet style and sit down dinner were staffed properly and the service was excellent. The wait staff of Fernando , Ulises, Sergio, Carly were excellent and extremely friendly as the showed patients attending to our every need. The buffet food was of less than average quality for taste and freshness. There was a dish which was prepared with shrimp that was not shelled at all. Again value for the dollar was simply not there. We did feel very safe on the property and at the ocean front beach club that shuttle service was provided by the resort free of charge. The staff their was again excellent and very well prepared for anything a guest requested.

It was a great experience! Nice and quiet, exactly what we were looking for. We went down to the pool EVERY morning after going to the gym, to find Juan Carmona had been waiting for us with a couple beers and a couple of saved chairs. When we would decide to go for some breakfast Oliver Vargas would come pick us up and tell us some funny stories as well as sharing his music taste with us before dropping us off at the restaurant for some delicious food and fantastic service by Perla Garcia and Luis Alberto Moreles. And in the evenings we would spend our time with Alejandro Gonzalez at the bar by the front desk or at the bar under the restaurant. The only negative thing I can say (and this really doesn't have anything to do with the hotel at all) is that there was an instance where a few locals were throwing a few racial slurs around purposely loud enough for us to hear - when you're at a bar and the word "Gringo" starts getting thrown around you start to feel a little uneasy... That being said Alejandro was quick to see that my wife and I were uncomfortable and made sure that were separated from the group and made sure we made it back to our room safely. Kudos to the hotel and Alejandro for that.
