Bahia Bustamante Lodge

We have traveled the world with our four kids and been to many different places. I can say with confidence that this just might be the most magical place we have stayed. It is quite the trek from the airport and certainly not an easy place to get to with young kids and tired parents, however, it was absolutely worth it. The staff and guides are exceptional. The attention to detail was unmatched. As a designer myself, I totally appreciated the "vibe" that they have certainly put so much time and effort into. We stayed in their newest renovated spot, the original house next to the main lodge and it was comfortable, beautiful, and the perfect amount of space for our family of 6. It is truly an "off the grid" feeling which, if that is your idea of perfection (it is ours), you will be in heaven. It's beautiful and full of adventure. We took a historical tour and saw the most incredible collection of skeletons and bones/shells etc. Our guide, Nye, became a good friend and it was truly like being on a family field trip--we learned so much and she was excellent with our kids and all their questions. It was so engaging. All the guides that we interacted with were just really great people and so helpful and kind. I must have asked a million times if we were going to see penguins, and now I laugh at myself, since there are about 500,000 penguins you can see. We saw whales one evening on the boat safari--it was pure magic. The wild life we saw was next level. Also, the food was the best we had our entire trip in Argentina. It was creative and delicious. Each meal is curated perfectly and even our pickiest eaters enjoyed everything. The bread was to die for and the desserts were incredible. We did the all inclusive with the meals, and we were so glad we did! Our most special memory was the New Years Eve dinner they prepared in the game room. We will remember that night forever. The other guests were so friendly and kind. The owner, Matias, was a special human. We were delighted that we got to meet him and his family and that just added to the charm of this place. I hope some day we can return and share with our extended family. If you are hesitant to make the journey--I 100% would recommend pushing through and making this one of your top bucket list places to visit while in Argentina. I cannot say it enough, but the staff and service are so incredible. Thank you, Bahia Bustamente Lodge, for a magical memory for our family that we will never forget.

This is the perfect rustic getaway for those travelers who want to experience beautiful nature and scenery. The cabins are comfortable, they come with kitchens so that you can cook your own food if you wish to (just remember to buy the food prior to coming to BB as there are no shops). We opted for the 'meals included' stay, and they were all excellent. BB is a few hours' drive from Comodoro Rivadavia, the last 40 km of road may be a bit tricky if it's rainy. And watch out for the sheep :).

Set on the Atlantic Coast amid an amazing landscape and far from the disturbances of the modern world. This makes for an experience available in just a few places in the world. Add friendly staff, excellent guides and food equivalent to a 4 star restaurant and you feel you have landed in a dream. You are treated like family not like guests. The small staff means you that within a day everyone knows you and what you like. If you like wildlife and getting away from it all without having to sleep in a tent a d walk for miles this place is for you.

The staff at Bahia Bustamante Lodge were the nicest and most helpful people I have ever met. We had a problem with our flights to the area, and Barbara and staff were very informative, helpful, and kind getting our situation resolved. Besides the wonderful staff at the lodge, the guides that were with us on our outings were great! Luckily, the weather cooperated with us and we were able to go on the boat, and walk in low tide to the penguins. We truly, enjoyed our short experience at the lodge. We thank everyone at the lodge for giving us a memorable experience.

Bahia Bustamante was once a small village , now a lodge. The main building with lounge and restaurant is located in the former grocery store. Most rooms/cottages have ocean view. We had the pinguin cottage which is very spacious with living room, two bedrooms and bath room. Very good food at the restaurant. Nice excursions in small groups to bird islands, pinguin island (very close to pinguins without disturbing them) , tour of the peninsula … Very nice staff and guides

Una escapada de 4 días a la paz inmensa que nos regala un escenario privilegiado como ese. Naturaleza prístina, biodiversidad autoctona y unos anfitriones de lujo. Matias, Astrid y su equipo nos hicieron sentir en un sueño. Agradezco que haya santuarios como este y personas que dediquen su vida a su conservación.
