Rancho Pacifico - Boutique Hotel for Adults

We stayed at this amazing resort for our one-year anniversary and honeymoon, and it exceeded all expectations. Five nights and four days simply weren’t enough! Everything was exceptional—the breathtaking views, the unique treehouse experience, the relaxing pool area, the outstanding service, and the unforgettable excursions. The freshly made cocktails and chef’s creations for dinner were a highlight, and the photos truly don’t do this place justice. Special thanks to Jason, Vianney, Andrey, Sharon, and Henry for making our stay even more memorable. Can’t wait to return!

We stayed 4 nights in the Villa Romantica at Rancho Pacifico in January 2025. My husband planned this trip to celebrate my birthday and it was AMAZING. I won’t reveal how special they made my birthday. Some things should be a surprise. There is an old saying “No pain, No gain” and that would adequately describe the drive to RP. Just be prepared for a 4 ½ hour drive before you get to “Paradise”. The anticipation continued to mount as we got closer to our destination. NOTE: We highly recommend that you have RP reserve a drive service for you. DO NOT RENT A CAR. TRUST ME. Once we arrived at RP, all our worries just slipped away. We were met by Noelli and her staff who whisked away our luggage and escorted us to the bar before being shown to our table for dining that had been reserved for us, with an incredible bird’s eye view of the city far below. Noelli’s keen eye to customer service sensed that food and drink was a priority, and we could tend to the “orientation” the next day. Just as I wasn’t fully prepared for the long drive, I wasn’t prepared for the INCREDIBLE food being presented to us the first night. Each day thereafter, we were amazed at the chef’s creations and artful presentations of each delicacy. For example, one of the two starters was a flash fried avocado coated with pistachio flour and a delectable sauce with frisee and chopped pistachios on top. Now a few words about our Villa. Secluded, private pool, large wrap around deck with incredible views and luxurious bedding for the best night sleep ever. Hiking trails were rated moderate to difficult and we found this to be true. The spa was wonderful-we had 90-minute massages including facials. We were looking for a relaxing, do nothing, vacation so I can’t comment on all the extracurricular adventures, but other guests commented on the zip lining and ATV tours and were happy with them. RP will drive you into town, so a car is not needed. The staff was incredible: Noelli, Theresa and Sharon were great at the concierge desk. Jason, Andrey, and Vianney were wonderful in the restaurant and bar. Jonathan was an extraordinary chef. Natalia took great care in housekeeping. I highly recommend RP for a romantic getaway.

This was a dream like experience Rancho Pacifico is magnificent I worked at a Forbes five star Relais and Château resort when I was younger I am thrilled to give this resort the highest praise! Each of the staff in every department, knew precisely have to act and gave the upmost attention to each guest. The accommodations, the incredible setting the delicious food and drinks Magnificent

It's an incredible experience waking up in the middle of jungle with all of the animals greeting you while simultaneously receiving the highest quality service from everyone on staff. From the delicious food prepared for us each meal, to the entertaining servers - every meal was a whole experience! The place looked pristine because of each person on staff who clearly took pride in their work and the contribution each of them made to the overall experience each guest was having. This was my second visit and I will absolutely be back! Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

My only complaint about Rancho Pacifico is that we had to leave it! From the second we arrived, every single staff member treated us like family, going above and beyond to quickly get us anything we needed or wanted. Lots of personal touches to celebrate that we were on our honeymoon! They were so helpful in arranging our excursions. The facilities are clean and the surroundings gorgeous. The trails on property are really nice - we even saw monkeys! There’s a ton of really beautiful wildlife on property; we especially loved watching the toucans. But very minimal bugs in the resort, even in the middle of the jungle! The hot tub is the perfect temperature, the massage I had at the spa was the best I’ve ever had. And can we talk about the food and drinks?! Fresh, creative, delicious, always made to order, and very generous portions. Only a 10 minute drive down the mountain to explore Uvita. I HIGHLY recommend Rancho Pacífico for your Costa Rica getaway!

Rancho Pacifico is a boutique hotel high above the beach town of uvita. Getting in and out of the hotel is not easy as it is secluded up in the mountain rain forest. The road is tough and you’ll need a four wheel drive to navigate the narrow and slightly treacherous road. The grounds are beautiful and you’ll stay in a suite. The treehouse suite is literally suspended in the rain forest. The shower and bath are literally outdoors. The other suites have indoor bathing facilities (I preferred this to avoid insects). Rooms were very comfortable and super private. You will feel welcome since there are not that many guests and you will get to know all of the wonderful staff. There is an infinity pool and a great view of the “whale tail” on the beach far below. Epic views of sunset! Every evening, we enjoyed visiting the bar. Vianney was an excellent bartender and made the most incredible martinis and mojitos (best ever!). I recommend dining at the hotel as the town is too far away. The food was very good. Each dinner was a surprise creation of the chef. We enjoyed each meal although the fish tended to be a bit overcooked. The concierges (Sharon and Henry) were very helpful in arranging activities. I highly recommend the Corcovado island tour—best ever for animal viewing. There is also wildlife to see on the hotel grounds. You can also take a hike down to the falls. The exercise/fitness room was minimal with very old equipment. Overall it was a wonderful stay and the service was fantastic. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
