Belle hôtel propre et confortable dans son ensemble agréable avec un bon service

I’ve travelled extensively in France and I usually have wonderful exchanges. And while the room and spa here is acceptable the service in the restaurant and bar. (Crystal I think) was shocking. Literally rude, unhelpful and quite disgusting. She set the tone to ensure any request was too much effort and succeeded only in being unwelcoming in the extreme. Stay but do not dine or drink here.

Great views over the lake from our very comfortable room with balcony. Good standard and cleanliness of the room with lovely bathroom. Plenty of secure parking at rear of the hotel. Welcoming and courteous staff.

Very pleasant stay with room overlooking lake and park. Efficient check-in, nice restaurant with views, good dinners at reasonable prices. Carpet in bedroom stained - required cleaning.

Great hotel in a good position overlooking the lake. Our only disappointment was the service in the restaurant. We booked for 7.30 ,everything good until we wanted to order dessert. The staff were too busy resetting tables next to us (as most people had finished their meal and left ) and we could not get the waiter’s attention so , in the end , after a long wait , we walked to the bar and asked for a menu. Again the staff carried on clearing and resetting tables but the menu eventually arrived after about 10 minutes. We then had a long wait for the dessert to arrive . It really spoilt our evening meal. We would book probably this hotel again but would not eat in the restaurant.

We stayed at this hotel for a one-night stopover en route to the Loire valley. Bagnols is a lovely old spa town with amazing architecture. On arrival we enjoyed a wander around the streets and lake. Our room on the third floor was spotlessly clean, most probably recently updated, with good bathroom, very comfy bed and a large terrace with a super view over the lake. We ate in the dining room which again had views over the lake. I had, basically, steak and chips and M had a chicken burger. But there were more exotic choices available. M had the gourmand pudding plate (sweet tooth) and I had the cheeses. A bottle of house Chardonnay ensured we slept well and it was a very quiet and peaceful hotel. A buffet breakfast had good choices plus the usual drink machines. Service in the restaurant was good. The reception desk staff were efficient, friendly and informative. We would highly recommend for a stopover or even a couple of nights. A hotel bar would have added to our experience and a better wifi service would have been appreciated. That you, Beryl Hotel. Perfectly located. Very clean and easy access. Good parking. Would have given a better score but for the terrible WiFi and the reception from the waiter at breakfast. Let’s start with the WiFi. Really poor and unreliable. Have to log back in on multiple occasions. There was very little 4G or 5G so very reliant on the hotel WiFi which didn’t function all of the time. Breakfast designed from 07.00-10.00. We arrived at 09.45 to the waiter role is eyes and looking at his watch. He was quite present to us but couldn’t help but notice the non verbal que’s. Finally-the lifts don’t work in sync so you have to request both lifts. They do not work intelligently so both lifts get sent to the floor where both buttons have been pressed which slows things down! Would I stay again…. Probably as the spa was great and it’s in a great location. I’d want to know the WiFi has been upgraded.

Pleasant staff. Great Pool facilities. Decent breakfast. Would recommend a stay any time. I'm a person of little words, as I cannot stand waffling or gossip, so trying to reach a minimum of 200 words of blatant waffle is a trifle difficult x
