Review of La Jolla Resort (April 17–19, 2025) ⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆ (3/5) We stayed at La Jolla Resort during Holy Week (April 17–19, 2025), and while there were definite highlights, a few issues kept it from being a five-star experience. What we liked: - The food was excellent—everything we tried was delicious and well-prepared. - The resort grounds and our room were clean and well-maintained, which made for a relaxing atmosphere. - Staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist. - We appreciated the Holy Week activities, which added a nice, thoughtful touch to the overall stay. What could be improved: - The shuttle service was extremely disappointing. Delays were poorly communicated and ended up making us late for an important commitment. - After check-out, we hosted some guests for lunch, but we were only allowed access to the day tour area, which felt like a downgrade—especially after being paying guests. A bit more flexibility here would’ve gone a long way. - Our bathroom had some plumbing issues, which was inconvenient and not what we expected given the overall cleanliness of the room. La Jolla definitely has its strong points—particularly the food and staff—but the logistical hiccups and lack of guest accommodation after check-out need to be addressed to deliver a truly premium experience.

Staffs are courteous. Food is superb! Place is awesome.

We loved our stay at La Jolla! My 3 sisters visited our parents in the Philippines from the US and found it very comfortable. A large family style room with 3 queen beds on the first floor and another queen size bed in the loft. Plenty of hot water to shower comfortably, and a bidet. Would be nice to have had one half bath though, or at least another sink. The beach was nice and clean with soft sand. We were able to walk to the cafe / hut by the infinity pool to order delicious mango, Pinapple, and watermelon shakes and French fries, then the severs brought them out to our shaded chairs on the beach. Would be nice in the future if they had servers come out to the beach area to take orders.... as we would have ordered more! The water was warm and fairly clear, with calm waters. And oh my goodness the sky was full of stars at nighttime! We really enjoyed our massages at the spa. The ladies are petite but have exceptionally strong hands! We enjoyed the delicious buffet breakfast/ brunch that was included in our room rate. A lot of variety including made to order eggs and omelets, and Filipino offerings too. This will be a great place to bring my family when they come with me on our next trip. They had an adventure course, and lots of water activities including jet skis and kayaking which we didn't take advantage of this trip. Such a relaxing stay on our way from Manila to our parents home further north west on Luzon. We were only going to stay for 1 night and extended it to 3! And plan for another nights stay on our way back to Manila.

Excellent ambience. Excellent room and restaurant staff. Nice beach and food. Good follow-up and wuick check in snd check out. The resort is excellent for relaxation and recharging, it is also a very secured area. After sales support and communication sucks. Check your billing upon check out, asking the reception for the copy of your SOA (statement of account) is impossible. I tried to send e-mails 3 times without getting any reply.

Staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Always catered to our needs promptly. Excellent service. Excellent food. The general manager, sir bolton was very accommodating with our requests. We’re thankful to the servers that they were willing to serve us even well beyond the work hours at the beach

Rooms were just right, we got the one with a second level, I suggest getting a single level room if going with children, there are such rooms that are just as spacious. I really liked the food especially the bbq skewers, the sisg could use some work though. The beach was fine, large enough to accommodate everyone that it didn't look crowded. The place is quite big and I didnt really mind walking around it but theres a shuttle service for those who need to get around. Thanks to the beach staff and management who likely needed to work overtime since we stayed there all night.

If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet and relaxing place, this is not it. Was annoyed the whole stay due to the slamming doors. Everytime an inconsiderate guest enters their room i dont understand why their instinct is to just slam the door close. Very poor room design. You can also hear everything happening outside your door including staff cleaning rooms, people talking, kids shouting. EVERYTHING. Was awaken countless times because of this. That made our stay very stressful. We cant sleep straight. Will go back again but just for day tour. Room rate is pricey but not worth it. Pros: Beach view is ok. pools Kind staff, guards

Nice and complete beach resort. Discovered it during a weekend in couple, then went back with family. finally decided to stay again a third time: length of Stay 2 and 3 nights. Stunning environment with accommodation on the top of the hill at 5 min walking distance to the beach. 3 pool locations including 1 infinity pool at the beach Activities (additional) are proposed such as billiards, banana boat, jet ski, tree climbing/zipline... Spacious rooms (family and couple) restaurant is OK. A true 4* resort, peaceful during the low season. Managers are following up with their guests to ensure a full satisfaction of stay. Tip: after checkout you can extend the stay at the beach until the evening

I had a great time at your place; loved the swimming with the fishes experience at your beach. Thank you for the door-2-door shuttle service too, it made trekking around the sites easier. We tried to reach room service last night tho but did not get a response. Personnel were very accommodating. It maybe be a 4h drive for me but it was worth the long drive. Thank you La Jolla.

Great beach resort during our 3 days and 2-night stay. Easy check in, Helpful staff with transportation to and from. friendly staff throughout the resort. I mean there’s always someone greeting you “Good Morning Ma’am or Good Afternoon Ma’am or Good Evening Ma’am. Such a cheerful resort! Great hot showers with strong pressure and clean bathroom. Was splendid. Cleanliness is Must in my room! and this Hotel delivered Shout out to Frank, friendly joyful who extent his help 100% ♥️ will make your stay even more enjoyable. Take it from me. There’s a whole lot more to mention but I’ll just leave it for you to find out. Great food choices for the breakfast buffet that was included free with my booking. Will definitely be back and this would be my TOP choice in Bataan.

The whole family really enjoyed there stay, the breakfast buffet is delicious, also the food at the restaurant below with the beach front, staff are all very friendly and polite, kudos to Ervin Dy (Manager) who assisted us at the restaurant and to Alex (Supervisor). we will definitely come back again and will recommend the place to our friends and relatives.
