We stayed in Ella for 3 nights. Golden View Guest Hotel has an amazing location with a beautiful view of the valley in which the town is located. You can get here by Tuk-tuk, a shorter route with the possibility of taking the last few hundred meters up the stairs or directly to the hotel, but it is twice as long. This needs to be arranged with the driver. The hotel is clean and it is quite quiet because it is away from the town. The view is amazing. We recommend the morning sunrise. The host is incredibly hospitable. He advises what to visit in the surrounding area. He prepares very tasty breakfasts On the day of our departure (we were leaving very early in the morning), he prepared sandwiches for the road and drove us personally to the train station. We highly recommend this place.

We went with the family and our Dog the Inn facilities and the owners hospitality also the young man that helps around is above and beyond They are not money minded but will do what ever needed to make your stay hospitable we stayed from 28th sept - Oct 1st Don’t worry to book this place it has a lovely view room facilities are good as well Don’t forget to get the information from the owner so he can give you clear instructions how to go about Ella and best way possible to enjoy the area and its wonders Will visit soon Thank you Mr. Rathnayake, family and the Young Man

We stayed only one night but the owner and his family did their best to make our stay so memorable. Since he provided transport (pick up from the train station and taking us around Elle, finding a way to climb little Adam's peak, etc.) and helped us to cover as many as we could during our short stay, we are so grateful to the owner for helping us to achieve this wonderful experience at Elle. We couldn't have done much within a short time without him. Beautiful scenery and breath-taking views from the hotel will never be forgotten. Also, the breakfast provided was really nice and couldn't expect more. Apart from the friendly. helpful and a great host, the hotel rooms were clean and well maintained as well. We would highly recommend this place to stay 😊👍

Breathtaking view from the balcony and the terrace where we ate breakfast, combined with outstanding host who was above and beyond throughout our whole stay in Ella and helped us with everything. Hopefully we can come back one day :) Highly recommended!

We were picked up by tuk tuk by the owner and taken to the guest house and he then made us tea while we took in the amazing views. Room was basic but very clean and we had the best view of the mountains from our balcony. We were again taken on the tuk tuk into Ella where we had a lovely evening and then picked up again. We had asked for a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast so were treated to string hoppers and Dahl which was very tasty. The owner was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble I would 100% recommend this place to stay for a day or two when travelling

I only stayed 2 nights and one full day in Ella. Although the guest house was officially closed for 3 days, as RATHNAYAKE was attending a family wedding. This was booked through a mutual friend. RATHNAYAKE kept the guest house open for me!!! The moment I arrived in Ella, RATHNAYAKE organised a Tuk-Tuk to collect me and bring me to the guest house, where there was a welcome cup of tea waiting for me!! To be fair, I felt that he and his good wife could not do enough for me. Helping sort out meals, planning my days activities and organising any transport requirements I needed. Including for my onward journey. I think you will be hard pushed to find a better host!! The room itself was spacious, clean and comfortable. Thanks for everything 😀👍

Sehr schönes Hotel mit wunderschöner Aussicht. Sauberes Zimmer und leckeres Frühstück. Man hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt und die Familie ist sehr freundlich und unterstützt einem bei allem. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist top. 100%-ige Weiterempfehlung!!

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt hier. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Aussicht ist traumhaft und das Frühstück abwechslungsreich und gut. Die Familie, die das Hotel betreibt, ist sehr herzlich und hat uns auch bei der Organisation von Ausflügen geholfen. Wir haben uns rundherum wohlgefühlt und können diese Unterkunft sehr weiterempfehlen!

La strada per arrivare all’hotel è una pura follia: i tuktuk o ti lasciano al fondo di una scalinata lunga e ripida oppure l’alternativa è fare 5 minuti di sterrato a strapiombo sul tuktuk dell’hotel per arrivare alla strada normale e altri 10 minuti per arrivare in centro a Ella. Non fidatevi delle indicazioni di Google maps perché non sono reali. Il disagio che questa strada ci ha recato ci ha portato a disdire la seconda notte che avevamo prenotato. Il personale è stato gentilissimo e ha capito le nostre esigenze e ha disdetto senza penale. La colazione è ottima e la vista su Adam’s peak e Ella rock all’alba è molto bella, anche se per noi non vale il mal di stomaco del tragitto in tuktuk. Sicuramente questa struttura isolata è adatta ad un altro tipo di turista, avrei evitato di prenotarla ma purtroppo il tragitto sulla strada dissestata non è specificato ne qui ne su Booking. Il prezzo sicuramente molto alto vista la difficoltà e la lontananza dal centro di Ella, che non si può raggiungere a piedi e quindi bisogna calcolare almeno 1000/1500 rupie a ogni tratta.
