Kurhotel Österreichischer Hof

Clean, friendly and a really nice place to stay. We have just returned from a weeks skiing. Our room was spotlessly clean and cleaned everyday. The staff in the restaurant were amazing. A special thank you to our waitress Afrodite who looked after us for the week. The food in the hotel was also excellent, a choice everyday of salads, soup, another starter, main course followed by a dessert. The hotel is less than a 10 minute walk to the main gondola, alternately if you are feeling lazy there is a ski bus that runs every 10 minutes. The hotel also has a ski and boot room if needed. The hotel has spa facilities but we didn’t any of them this time. We’ll probably go back next year as the hotel ticks all the boxes.

Stayed for a week in room 131 a lovely big room with views of the town. Towels changed daily and everything spotless. When you arrive you are allocated your table for the week, Noemi looks after us for the first few days and Kurt the rest of the week. Toma also served in the restaurant and lounge area, all the staff were brilliant and a credit to this lovely hotel. There is a lovely spa area with a €15 charge for robes. Would recommend staying in this hotel if you visiting, there is no bar as such but a lounge area where staff will bring you drinks on request.

The Osterreichischer Hof is a superb hotel on every level. We spent a week over new year 2024 into 2025 there and loved it and will return. Rooms: superb. Loads of space, beds very comfy and magic shower, loads of space to hang and put away clothes. Service and staff: First class. Friendly, none intrussive but attentive and very efficient. Food: SUperb as well and way, way over what one would expect. Public rooms: Great too and an amazing fire, that, if you ask nicely, you get to put the logs on. Great wee wine list and Stiegel on tap - what more do you need. My five year old daughter was made to feel welcome, treated with massive respect and patience - this helped so much to put the cherry on a wonderful holiday.

we have been resting in this hotel for many years in a row and enjoy everything: the hospitality, the cozy atmosphere, the friendliness of the entire hotel staff and especially the friendly attitude of the hotel owners, who do everything to make guests return to them again and again. warm atmosphere of the hotel, very varied, high-quality and tasty food, comfortable rooms with wonderful views of the mountains, the opportunity to be in the Alpentherme thermal complex from morning to evening, excellent value for money - this is not a complete list of all the advantages of our favorite hotel in Austria Alps! thank you to everyone who made our vacation perfect. My second year of staying at this outstanding family owned and superbly managed luxury hotel in Bad Hofgastein. The Salfitzky family deliver a remarkable experience for clients . From the genuine warm welcome on arrival , no matter how late, everything is taken care of in a quiet, efficient yet unassuming way. The staff are well trained , happy, and are clearly considered to be part of this family team who themselves are front of house in the widest sense . The restaurant is well laid out , relaxing atmosphere which itself results in everyone , families , couples or solo guests well looked after . Again the Head Chef and team are to be congratulated. Quality, variety and presentation in my opinion could not be bettered and is of 5 star standards . The pool, saunas ,gym, and all facilities are the icing on an already superb guest experience. How good ? I’ve already pre booked a third year stay . Thank you .

This was our third visit to this truly fantastic hotel. We return each year to the area for the great and varied skiing but we always choose this hotel because of the exceptional service and value. The hotel is clean to perfection, the staff supremely professional, friendly and helpful plus the food is excellent with a change of menu each day. The facilities are first class with access to their own extensive spa plus access to the larger Alpentherme. They clearly place a great deal on staff training and professionalism and it shows in every role. Thanks to Silvia and extended family Salfitzky for yet another perfect stay.
