Makronisos Village

We loved our time here. We had a lovely appartement, big and spacious, with a patio outside. We are a family of 3, two adults and a child. The apartment is super comfortable with two air conditioning: one in the bedroom and one in the living room. All the fresh air we needed in these August's hot days !! The kitchen is brand new, all the supplies have been barely touched before and I could cook whatever I wanted. The cleaning is amazing: the cleaners change the bedsheets nearly every day and they leave the apartment spotless. Never seen something like this ! So happy about it ! The swimming pool is full of kids and families, very clean and relaxing ambience. A bar with drinks and foods open all day. We enjoyed the Greek evening with music and dances. Food was amazing !!! The Makronissos beach is at just 500m away, easily reached in 10 min by walking. There is a little supermarket inside the village and others on the main road. Bus 101 takes you in Aya Napa in 10 min and the bus stop is around the corner. The bus ticket is €1.50. There is a launderette close to the bus stop (€3 for washing, €2 for drying). I highly suggest this village and we are definitely coming back !!

We hit the jackpot booking this accommodation. We stayed here 12 to 19 October 2024. Room 311 was great. Free air con. Well equipped kitchen. Really clean. Bath with shower over it. Our balcony was really private and we loved sunbathing in the afternoons on it. Free parking if you have a hire car. Pool area very nice. Time of year the place wasn't even half full. Loads of sunbeds available. Bar staff nice. We were self-catering and if you have a hire car there is a Lidl a few kilometres away in Protaras. There are local supermarkets within walking distance stocking the basics. We ate twice at the hotel bar. Basic food on offer but reasonably priced. Keo or Leon pints of lager 4 Euros each or a two pint jug of Leon lager for 7 Euros. Big thankyou to the nice Scottish lady on reception who was so helpful. Also to Louise at the bar/restaurant who was great. We would definitely stay here again.

My mom and I are just about to leave after spending a week here and we’ve had such a lovely time. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was clean and spacious with working aircon and ceiling fans. We were very comfortable and were able to make ourselves meals on the evenings we didn’t eat out. The pool here is great, loads of room and you can always find a sunbed with an umbrella. The only downside is the sunbeds are a bit uncomfortable if you’re sat on them a long time. The bar staff were lovely and very attentive. Special shout out to Louise and Kumar, who always came over for a chat and made sure we were happy with our food and drinks. I also want to give a shout out to the cleaning staff, who were around every day and clearly work very hard even during the hottest part of the day. And finally, a massive thank you to the reception staff who allowed us to keep our room for a few more hours as our transfer time is early evening. It made our last day much more relaxed knowing we could leave our things in the room and pop back for a shower after a few final hours by the pool. If ever I’m back in Ayia Napa I’ll be booking here again :)

This hotel had such a lovely complex, flowers everywhere and lots of little geckos running around. The pool is big and has lovely landscaping, came in October and wasn’t too busy.no sunbed hoggers , went to the pool at around 5pm twice which is an hour before it closes and managed to get sun beds. The bar is fairly priced and right next to the pool with a pool table, air hockey and a karaoke stage. There are a few restaurants around the corner and a shop right outside. Hotel rooms where basic, but balconies where very spacious. No problems with air conditioning or cleanliness either.

Just returned home from two week holiday at Makronosis holiday village. Great shop at entrance to the village with most of the things you might need. Lovely grounds with gorgeous shrubs, flowers and beautiful heady perfumed jasmine. Apartments were lovely, very spacious, fresh decor, good comfy beds, plenty linen changes and fresh towels as and when requested, good shower, cleaning regime was excellent! Good little kitchenette, equipped well enough should you want to dine in or enjoy a snack on the great sized balcony, enjoying sunshine all afternoon and fantastic evening skies that were breathtaking. Vast size swimming pool, lots of sun beds, no queueing necessary! Brilliant pool bar with excellent food from light/sharing snacks to excellent steak dishes…all washed down with drinks of your choice! Don’t forget “happy hour “ every day 4-7…Dangerous 😂🍹😎 What really made this village stand out was their exceptional staff! From the welcoming and informative reception staff, ladies who cleaned and looked after the apartments, to the superb bar/waiting staff. Every day…happy faces, terrific service always with a smile and time for a chat. Louise…you were exceptional…what can we say…funny, accomodating, kind, looking after everyone, earth angel😇😇 just a beautiful human being… thank you so much you made a great holiday a brilliant and unforgettable time!!
