Vassos Nissi Plage Hotel & Spa

This is mine and my partners third holiday to Cyprus and 2nd stay in Ayia Napa but the first time stay in this hotel and a first holiday abroad for my partners 14yr old daughter. We have had an amazing time we are so sad to be leaving today :-( The whole of the staff are so friendly and we have had a right laugh and joke with some of them. The food has been amazing and I can also highly recommend the chicken tenders in the Famous beach bar and restaurant that’s right next to the pool in the hotel. The staff are great in there too and so friendly. We had a lovely room which was cleaned regularly the shower was fab. The pool is lovely and clean too. We spent a lot of time round the pool and Khim cane round lots asking if we were ok and if we would like a drink he’s now my partners daughters bestie Ana the entertainment staff also did an amazing job too and didn’t mind a 52 year old joining in with the mini disco. The aqua aerobics she also did was fun too. We will definitely be back next year. Thank you so much for having us. We have absolutely loved it. Andrea, Daron & Maddy

We are back from 11 nights at the Vassos Nissi Plage. Hotel is excellent.... we were room 402... a suite with sea views and it was stunning! The room was cleaned every day and was spotless. Carpets on the communal areas could do with a change. Sun beds.... really comfortable around the pool area although not very many. Policy was you had to stay with them until 8am before which the towels would be taken off. The hotel staff wouldn't allow you to reserve more than one and I was shouted at abruptly on two occasions for putting an extra towel for my husband and sitting with the beds. The lifeguard wasn't bothered by this. Pool area was cleaned daily and very relaxed. However last couple of days it became over crowded by non hotel guests who were able to come in at the back from nissi beach to buy food and drink from the public restaurant at the pool. At one time.... 25 non guests came to the pool and were spitting in the pool and eating food in the pool. I asked the management if this was a public pool was told that if they purchase food and drink they could swim. This really brought the hotel down.... Jet2 should advertise that this is a public pool as the hotel manager admitted to me it was. We met a family who were staying at a 2 star hotel down the road and came to the Vassos every day for his holiday and took sunbeds and used the facilities.... said he had been doing this for 5 years. Breakfast was nice.... good selection offered. Shame you couldn't drink your own drinks around the pool and if you did and left them unattended they were disposed of. Bus outside 6 euros for a family of 4 into aiya napa town and same the opposite way to the waterpark. Excellent holiday.... just a shame about the pool being public due to this I wouldnt rate as a 4 star hotel as I would expect the pool to be private. Happy for the restaurant to be used but shouldn't be allowed to use the pool.

Stayed here with my son absolutely lovely holiday! The staff were the friendliest I have ever come across in a hotel. We here for stayed 10 days and in those 10 days nothing was a problem for the staff. The cleaners were constantly busy. My son is autistic and even when it came to cleaning the room they were happy to do it with him sitting on the balcony having 10 minutes quiet time. The only issue I can say we had is the carpet outside our room smelt of urine. (Room 403) But honestly we had a great time gutted to be home.

Firstly the hotel itself is lovely. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the food is outstanding BUT I wouldn’t come here again and here’s why 1. The hotel seems to mainly cater for Russians. I think apart from one other couple we were the only English there. Normally not a problem but we found most of them to be so rude. 2. The pool is too small for the size of the hotel and definitely not enough sun beds which brings me to my next point. 3. Trying to get a sun bed after 6am is a near impossibility. YES 6AM. They come down and stick all their towels on the beds then disappear for breakfast. Even though there are signs clearly saying you can not do this before 8am and you have to be ON THAT BED not disappear. The one day I got a bed I was sat on it and went for a wee come back and they’d taken our towels. But left the Russians towels. 😠 Some didn’t come back to the beds for three hours. So the whole time we were there we got a bed ONCE. not good enough for a four star hotel. I think you should have to put your room number down the night before or book them or just stop people doing it. The pool was in the shade from 3. Kids sitting at the pool bar stools and the pool not opening until 9am. If your an early bird then forget the morning swim. It then closes at 6. Far too early. 4. There is nothing to do in this hotel. The bar closed at 12 so if you want to sit and have a drink after a late dinner you can’t. But the other hotels around all have their amenities still open. 5. The entertainment was shockingly poor. 6. There was one tv channel which had the English language. The rest was yes Russian or Arabic Turkish etc. and half of the channels didn’t work. 7. The electricity goes off when you leave your room so you can’t charge your phone or power bank while out. No usb points and two plugs didn’t even work. 8. There was air con was rubbish. Room stayed a lovely 26 degrees. We asked for someone to come and look at it but no one did. 9. The WiFi works intermittently. They give you a code WiFi code but what they don’t tell you is that some of it is capital letters (it’s all in lower case) so it’s like trying to decipher an enigma code. And even then it won’t connect. 10, the pool showers didnt work. One just dribbled water. There needs to be a lot of improvement here sadly especially regarding the sun bed situation. The beach was lovely tho.
