Résidence Pierre & Vacances Premium l'Amara

Excellent quality apartments. Very clean and furnished well. Kept up to date. We stayed in L’amara the very first year it opened and for 4 other years including this year. Excellent communication with the team, good services like breakfast, dinners supplied as extras. Slippers and robes supplied for adults. Kitchen very well equipped with everything you would need. Sherpa shopping centre only a 5 minute walk. 2 nice restaurants on site and the bar in the hotel lobby is nice. Spa was very nice when used of high quality and the children have used the swimming pool which is a little chilly but fun as an activity. Definitely recommend

Spent one week with the familly in this residence and it was top. Apartment itself, is very clean, very well furnished and equiped, kitchen utensils (nothing is missing), very spacious, beds are confortable. Also something which is important in Avoriaz, you can park your car directly in the residence, you do not need to walk. Residence : very nice staff, warm welcome, swimming pool, hot tub, sauna Location : Indeed it is not located in the center but Avoriaz is not very big so, the center is litteraly 7 minutes walk from the residence.

Amazing stay at the L’Amara - great location - a 5 min walk to the main area of Avoriaz but that has its benefit as it’s lovely and quiet at the hotel area. We stayed in Dharma and was ski in - ski out and great to have 2 ski rental shops at the bottom of the building (ski set Amara sport and ski set rossignol) Maëlle in reception was great before hand sorting all the room, ski hire and passes and so responsive. She is a really asset to the hotel. Beware if coming in peak season to pre book your restaurant reservations as walk in options are very limited.

Lovely clean and well equipped apartment. We were 4 friends in a 2 bedroom valley view room. The apartment was perfect space wise for us and the views from the balcony (now open) were spectacular. The residence was well equipped and no problems with noise or access. The on site car park is a great feature if you're arriving by car and I believe the same price as the main resort car park. (€100 week) The pool area was clean and the sauna / steam rooms were good although only 1 of each was open but not too busy so all was good. Ski hire located across from reception was perfect and helpful. The ski rooms in the residence were a bit on the small side and got crowded at peak times but worked fine and definitely ski in Ski out for any level of skier. Check in was a little bit chaotic ( our room wasn't ready when we arrived at 17.15) but the staff were helpful and friendly and good Comms had us in our room by 18.00. As with a lot of these types of residences initial navigation was a bit tricky but after the first day you get used to the layout. A beautiful location 10 mins walk into the centre of Avoriaz. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

Stayed in Avoriaz several times and this was our first stay in L’Amara and loved it! Four adults stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was perfect as very spacious, just wish we were allocated to a higher floor as the view would have been spectacular (we stayed on 2nd floor of Dharma which was fine but too low to see valley). Would stay here again in a heartbeat

Just back from a week here and absolutely loved it!!!!!! Our transfer from Geneva dropped us in the car park, so there was no trekking through Avoriazwith luggage. The staff are lovely and can't do enough for guests and the facilities are brilliant. We booked a two bedroom apartment for our family for three (daughter, 9, my husband and myself), which meant we each had more than enough space and could leave the living room as it was without the need for the sofa bed. Apartments are well equipped, we had an ensuite shower room, the main bathroom was bath with shower over it and separate toilet. Coffee machine is a great touch and you can purchase additional pods from reception. We took full advantage of having a free pool on site too, which was great as it meant we had other things to do when the weather was cloudy and visibility was low, but also for after a full day of skiing, and to make use of the sauna and steam room. The bar in reception is welcoming and has a variety of drinks on offer, perfect for a drink before your evening meal or on your return from the slopes. As for the location, it was perfect for us. Amara is the quieter end of Avoriaz, but the more lively Festival area is a 10 minute walk or a short horse and sleigh ride. It couldn't be better for a "ski in / ski out" resort; it was skis on as soon as we left the boot room and, thanks to the layout of the resort, you can ski back to the same spot. We are already talking about returning next year and, after what we've seen this week, will be returning to these apartments.
