Flying Flags Avila Beach

This was our 2nd time staying at Flying Flags Avila Beach we will be back in the spring the views are amazing so much to do in the area from the farm to sycamore hot springs we had breakfast at Mulligans very close to Pismo Beach shopping and winerys

We stayed in a tent site and had a fantastic time. The view from the tent sites is probably the best on the property, but there are other good views too. The tent sites had porta potties, but they were very clean. It was a short walk (uphill) to clean bathrooms and showers, which we used. Having free coffee all day long was a nice perk (wink). You are walking distance from the pier, the beach, and at least two restaurants. Avila Beach is a short drive (or long walk). The staff was very friendly, the location was amazing, and we will be back.

You guys really need to kick it up a notch. People pay a fortune to camp/glamp and there are so many things not right. Why not put in a dish or two, why not have a microwave. Never mind the hot water shortage. People need to have instructions on your fire pit as well as the TV. You guys can do better!!!!

Worst place ever, bathrooms were never cleaned. Worst bathrooms ever, smelled like rotten eggs, people washing dishes there and it because they do not have or provide enough water spikets and or was stations. So people are left with little resources. Hardly any trashcans, trash everywhere. Nasty hair! Nasty smell, for how expensive this is, they need crews to clean hourly!!!!!! And not to mention a bathroom that is used by all 3 lower levels. (Thats alot of people) Place is gross and awful. Views is it, but high prices and poor sanitation, with just a few bathrooms aloted to whole camp.

Based a very deceptive map we booked our site only to find out we camped next to over flow parking which is NOT shown on the site map. Guest Service staff was rude and made zero effort to mitigate the issue. Left us feeling disappointed and taken advantage of. Would not recommend if this is the standard procedure for handling guest concerns.

So glad we stayed here. We chose to Tent Camp in the walk in camp area. Very private, beautiful views of Avila Bay!!! You could hear and almost feel the waves crashing on the Beach. Plan to hear harbor Seals and we saw some otters as well. The beach is pet friendly for those who travel with their buddies. Clean environment and everyone is especially friendly and helpful. The Bathrooms and Showers were so clean. We rented a gas fireplace insert for the fire pit. Such great ambience and was very safe. Avila Beach has a little town which is very close with some awesome shops and places to eat. Along with a 9 hole golf course. And added plus, there were some baby bunnies in the surrounding area of the camp site so they got a few treats from us. I will be going back and I definitely recommend .
