I almost want to give it 0 stars. The hotel is in bad shape, uneven floors, broken tiles, broken shower head, no outlets for charging phones on the night stand, no coffee maker or coffee in the rooms. The rooms get super hot during the night if you want to keep your windows closed and have some privacy. There is a bad smell in the corridors and hallways as the ventilation isn't great. The front desk people are all part timers who do not communicate with each other before leaving their shifts, nor do they care about customer service. We asked to change rooms after the first night, because the sun was directly hitting the windows all day and got the room very hot. We were told by the morning front desk person that it is not a problem and it will not take more than an hour to switch rooms and that they will prioritize it. We packed our stuff, left it in the lobby at 11am and went out for lunch. We came back to a different front desk person an hour later who had no idea what is going on. The previous person didn't leave a note or communicate about us changing rooms. She told us to come back in an hour. We came back in an hour and there is a different person at the front desk, Hortencia, who had no idea what is going on either. She checks in with the cleaning staff and the room we were supposed to move to, is not on their list to be cleaned next. On top of every thing, now this lady is completely rude to us. She cut us off in the middle of our inquiries and starts helping another customer. In the end we asked her to transfer our stuff to the new room when it is ready and we left again and didn't come back until 5pm and that time there was a different person at the front desk yet again. Luckily this person finds out what is going on and gave us the keys to the new room. The new room had a broken shower head, no charging outlets, one fan and still very hot. I do want to mention a couple things that were good about this hotel, 1. There is pie and ice-cream in the evening between 7-8pm. 2. There is a barista onsite in the morning at 7:30am who takes orders for Lattes, cappuccinos and there are pastries available for breakfast. Overall, it was still a very bad experience because the rooms weren't great for the money we paid and the front desk people were unprofessional, uncaring and rude. We will never go back to this hotel ever again.
