B&B Dorwyn Manor

We started our Ridgeway walk here. We had lovely hosts, a very comfortable and quiet room and a great breakfast. It’s just a short walk into Avebury village from the B&B so the stone circle and the pub are in easy reach. It’s highly recommended by us!

This was our first stop on The Ridgeway Trail. A very good find. The B&B is located ~ 10 min walk from Avebury - albeit on a busy A road. Our hosts Mike & Debbie were fantastic. The room was clean, spacious & comfortable. Uniquely they provided an honesty bar of drinks, snacks & plenty of things you never knew you needed. There is also a very large guest lounge. Breakfast was great with plenty of options catered for. To top it all they offer lifts back & for to the local pub, the red lion, where you are granted a 15% discount off your bill. Marvellous!

Room was warm and breakfast good. Building a little tired could do with updating. Hosts were friendly. Could have done with a better sign as we passed it and had to google location. Good base to see the standing stones and Silbury hill. Enjoyed the village.

Friendly hosts, gorgeous room with outstanding bath & great shower. Just outside the Avebury stone ring, other attractions nearby. Everything we could want with only one drawback—our lovely room was up a set of steep stairs, not easy to negotiate with suitcases. Don’t let that stop you—it’s worth the climb.

Mike and his family have created a full open hearted welcome in a beautiful home. We lacked for nothing and were offered everything including a magnificent breakfast! The wonder of Avebury is just down the road and there is a full library that had all the information we needed. A full recommendation Carole and David

Very clean and comfortable accommodation. I'd particularly like to give a shout out to Mike, the host. A most welcoming chap, who went above and beyond , ferrying me to the local pub for an evening meal, and then drove me to the start of my walk along the Ridgeway at Overton Hill. Thank you.
