Blue Poppy Resort

The view from hotel is awesome, the hotel and room is neat and clean and the staff behaviour was also nice. The food was really yummy.

I stayed at both the Blue Poppy Premier properties in Joshimath and Auli. Joshimath: The Joshimath property is new, clean, and conveniently located near the road to Badrinath, just after crossing the town. The rooms are good, though the food quality is quite average. The staff are local and courteous, but not very well trained. What was most disappointing, however, was the high cost of food — the rates are comparable to those charged in five-star hotels, yet the quality, taste, and portion sizes do not justify such pricing. Another unpleasant experience was that I forgot a bottle of imported liquor in my room while checking out. When I called later, I was given various explanations, and the bottle was never returned. Though they offered to either arrange a replacement locally or transfer some money to compensate, I chose to decline both options. Auli: The Auli property, on the other hand, is poorly maintained. Access to the hotel is difficult as the steps leading up from the road are very steep — unsuitable for elderly guests or those with health issues. Despite charging room and food rates at the level of a five-star resort, the overall standard is not even that of a two-star. The room lacked basic amenities such as a shower, body lotion, and proper toiletries (only Santoor soap was provided). A kettle was available, but no tea, coffee, or milk sachets — and when I requested them, I was told the kettle was meant only for heating water. The food was again overpriced and ordinary in quality. Overall, considering the price point, I believe one can find better accommodation options in both Joshimath and Auli.

Blue poppy is one of the finest resorts here in Auli with absolutely breathtaking views of the mighty Nanda Devi. You get to see different views of the landscape in different seasons....The Food and overall service is also fantastic. We really loved brass juice which is a local delicacy here....

Very good resort, management staff is very kind and a very great breakfast. Washrooms are very clean.Overall, a must visit in Joshimath.

Overall extremely enjoyed the stay here. Location, room size, cleanliness, view, rooms service, hospitality was really superb. The staff were really kind and helpful and honest as well. Especially I appreciate the services offered by Mr. Gambir,Mr. Ashok

Not good at all, only primitive facilities, and no arrengment for our car driver ( no dormitory etc for driver ) So, we never refer this resort for any sort of vacation at all. No fans, Too much high temperature here, so we recommended that you go at this place in winter. But not to stay here, but at jyoti math only
