Quality Inn University Area

Really dated. Could use a major refresh. This is actually an old style motel with doors on the outside. Location is essentially the parking lot of the abandoned Auburn Mall. Bathroom had a terrible moldy smell and needs a new shower head for better water pressure. Breakfast was pretty below average and just wish the coffee tasted good. If coffee was good quality I would not have cared about the breakfast. Our TV would not change channels and was stuck on the same channel. Bed was pretty comfortable actually but sheets were not breathable at all (synthetic maybe?) so slept very hot. Actually a nice surprise that we were visited by housekeeping on the day before checkout. Not sure if that was a mistake on their part because I saw a sign at the front desk saying there would not be housekeeping during our stay. We paid $1100 to stay 3 nights during a football weekend and we should’ve maybe paid half that based on quality.

The room was fine and the room was clean. They kept it clean. My fault for not looking carefully, but there was no pool, very disappointing. The washing machine didn’t work, so we had to use a laundry mat. I informed the gentleman at the front desk as I asked about the whereabouts of a laundry mat. He didn’t seem concerned at all and just gave me instructions to the mat. But other than that, the staff was nice. The housecleaning staff were two men and they were very accommodating and nice and efficient . Breakfast was fine. We decided to stay an extra night after being there 5 days and they charged us more.☹️. I didn’t even think about asking if it would be the same price or cheaper. I just figured it would at least be the same price as the previous ones. It was quiet and we felt comfortable staying there.

It was nice. The bed was comfortable. I loved having a coffe pot in the room. You need to put a milder shampoo in the bathroom. It left my granddaughters hair like straw. I use a walker. No rooms available downstairs so my son and granddaughter had to help me upstairs to the second floor. Y’all need to invest in an elevator for such conditions.

Room was booked through ******* We arrived 9pm and the credit card that ran for room was declined along with 3 cards 2 banks all declined. Mgr said it had to be us. Bank contacted said no attempt was made to pull funds. They gave the ridiculous reason it must be cause we are from out of town. They said banks must be having problem They offered no solution we had 11 yo kid with us it was 1 hour later 10pm we suggested cx room and rebook. They said couldn't ask try please they cx rm and booked again and cards worked. It was The Hotel error Joe made some mistake when switching from king to doubles that locked the booking but they were prepared to turn 65yo 46yo women 11yochild at 1030 pm who had driven 2.5 hrs to get there for the 11yo to perform in Olympian at 745am. I want refund and some restitution for the way they treated us and basically ruining out night delaying our sleep stress an total discomfort

Arrival: Notice the entire property is super clean, it’s obvious the owners invest back in their business. Pressure washing the outside is a great positive first impression, it smells better and looks better as a result. Check-In: Friendly, welcoming, helpful front office with a smile. Smooth, simple process. Thank you, well done! Room Impressions: Room was cleaner than any Quality in America. Seriously, this place smells and is clean. How refreshing, like how a room should be always! No fingerprints on the windows, it’s clear they take pride in room cleanliness. Finger dust test = A+ Smell Test = A+. Clean floors, shower and sink A+

This motel has been and remains our home whenever we are in the Auburn/Opelika area. The beds are extremely comfortable. The air conditioning is easily set for comfort. And they have a good breakfast area. The breakfast area opens plenty early enough to eat and go about the day’s activities.

The outside of the hotel is spotless and very well taken care of. We travelled with friends and got rooms on the ground floor, next to each other. The rooms were absolutely adequate in size and very clean. The hotel is next to the Auburn Mall and a Red Lobster. The A/C worked well and was relatively quiet. The mattress could be changed out; it was not the most comfortable. Breakfast was waffles, white toast, English muffins, jelly...it needs help with variety.

They won’t let you in the lobby if you show up after 10pm. You have to use a plexiglass window. The staff were very rude. I have never had such a bad experience dealing with unprofessional staff. If you want a low quality hotel with rude staff and a mediocre room, look no further.

I chose this hotel based on good reviews online. It seemed expensive but hotels in their area were either not good or pricy. This hotel was middle of the road for me. The room was fine- nothing special- the quality you expect from a quality inn- with average towels and some amenities... microwave, tv, decent wifi.... However, when the tour bus pulled up at 9pm outside and sat for 25 minutes idling extremely loudly it was not unnoticed. The rooms open to the outside and do not block much in the way of sound. In the morning the breakfast area was disgusting because people could not be bothered to throw away their trash and whoever was in charge of breakfast was not keeping it tidy. Food selection was minimal. They did not even have oatmeal (and I mean the instant, in the packets kind). For 130 dollars a night I would prefer to get something decent to eat. What a waste of money. Location was good but I will not stay again based on price and quality of amenities. Not sure why hotels in this town are so expensive but this place was worth maybe 70 bucks and that's being generous. They need to seriously re-do their breakfast options.
