Nice place and Mary is lovely, only downside was a spring sticking out of the edge of the mattress sliced my leg , not much said back about it either !! Breakfast was a bit of a let down after reading all the other reviews, maybe cause i was the last person there

We recently stayed with our family for a wedding in the area; Mary and Raymond were lovely hosts and we really enjoyed our stay! The homemade Irish breakfast was such a nice touch (Mary even bakes the scones herself!) and they provided GF bread to fit my dietary restrictions which I really appreciated. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The property was beautiful. Thank you again to Mary and Raymond!

The stay was wonderful, and Raymond and Mary were incredibly attentive. From the moment I arrived, they made sure I felt comfortable and at home. I slept like a baby, and the breakfast was delicious, with a variety of fresh options that truly exceeded my expectations. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience.

We had a wonderful stay in Moate lodge when we were at a wedding nearby. It’s a beautiful house and location. We received a 5-star welcome from Raymond and Mary. The rooms are lovely and spotless in this historic house. And the breakfast was delicious. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Mary and Raymond were so welcoming and friendly and gave us a beautiful tour of their library and cinema. Beautiful organic breakfast in their beautiful sunlit dining room. Unique rural location surrounded by 300 acers of golden wheat and barley.

Lovely old farmhouse. Mary and Raymond were very friendly and very hospitable. My husband really enjoyed his conversations with Raymond (history and rugby related). Lovely breakfast. If we are back in the area will will definitely be staying again.

Had the pleasure of staying just one night in this lovely old farmhouse. We were let down last minute by another property in Athy, but Mary took us in and looked after us so well. Fabulous house in amazing surroundings, lovely comfortable rooms, spotlessly clean and a good hearthy home cooked breakfast. Thank you again Mary, and I would have no hesitation in recommending your beautiful home to others.

Nestled in the beautiful Kildare countryside this home is full of history and character. Mary & Raymond are so welcoming and happy to give the history and story of the house. The stonework, buildings and grounds are stunning. We could only stayed for one night and slept sound in a beautiful, comfortable room. We enjoyed a delicious full irish breakfast before we headed off. True Irish hospitality done right. This home is not far from the motorway, Kildare village and is a great location. We highly recommend and will stay longer next time we are back!

Earlier this year, I stayed prior to the garden being in full bloom, so I had to go back whilst working in the area. I don't know which I love more, staying in a historical country Manor, the peace and tranquillity of the gardens, the host's who offer a warm and welcoming stay, or the WII museum or the amazing food. So much to say! It's definitely a gem. Thank you again and I will be back
