Athenian Residences

This place was perfect for us. Manos made our stay even better. It is so cute, and the location in Psiri (the hot/trendy neighborhood) was great for us. Restaurants galore and never concerned with safety (in the neighborhood anyway). The place was gated, so very secure. It is small (less than 10 rooms) and has one building that is rustic/traditional Greek housing, and then a new building with very modern units in it. We started in one of the traditional rooms, but due to a nasty foot injury prior to traveling and a subsequent air boot, I couldn’t manage the internal spiral staircase. Manos was able to move us into a very spacious and handicap accessible unit in the new building. It was fabulous. Both units had excellent air conditioning, and the second (handicap unit) had everything you might need to make a meal. Who in the heck would do that with the incredible restaurants right outside the door? Haha, I get it - but my husband and I were looking for the best moussaka in Athens……. They bring a nice breakfast to your room in the morning (that you order the night before). I enjoyed hard boiled eggs, croissants , and incredibly good yogurt every morning. Fresh squeezed OJ, and an espresso machine topped it off. The little courtyard and plunge pool were great- just no time to use it. I highly recommend the place. Cute, kind staff and location in Psiris was great. So close to everything. If you have mobility issues, like I did, the traditional apts will not work for you. That said, they were adorable!!

This place is a hidden gem! The courtyard is beautiful and very secure. The rooms are modern and have so many personal touches to improve the stay. Anything you need the staff are on hand and nothing is too much trouble. Centrally located, just a short walk to bars, restaurants and shops. Immaculately clean and very comfortable The plunge pool isn’t heated but was great for my son after time in the sun. Breakfast is fresh and delivered to your door (so much food!!) There is some noise from the street however it doesn’t go on late and once you shut the doors it’s not heard loudly. Don’t let this put you off! My 11 year old loved it and I did too

We had a wonderful 4 night stay with our family of four (kids 7 and 9) at Athenian Residences. The rooms were clean and well maintained. AC worked well. Small kitchenette was well apportioned and useful for making kids snacks. The location was outstanding with easy access to nearby restaurants, cafes and historical sights. The pool was perfect for multiple quick rejuvenating dips during really hot weather. It’s a great location with good facilities. What really made the trip, however, was the the staff. They were so welcoming and eager to help. Dimitris made us feel right at home our entire stay. The daily cleaning was meticulous and the cleaning group was friendly. There was just a feeling that everyone we met was really happy to have us stay. Also, the breakfast was ample and delicious — ordered from our favorite cafe nearby and delivered daily at the time of our choosing. Our apartment was on the street and occasionally there was noise from the nearby cafes at night. But overall, given the number of bars and restaurants in the neighborhood, it was quieter that we expected. Will definitely book again if we return to Athens.

Our family of five recently stayed at the Athenian Residences and we cannot praise it highly enough. Dimitris couldn't have been more helpful. Fantastic communication, lots of super helpful local information and always going over and above. The breakfast was insanely huge and delicious, delivered promptly to your door when requested. The apartment was spotlessly clean, refilled daily and had every everything we needed and more. The Residences are located in a quiet street only one street from a fun, busy location and 5 minutes from the heart of the city in Monastiraki Square. If you are looking for a functional, central base with friendly staff in Athens this is the one for you. Thanks, team!

We had a lovely stay in Athens and the apartment was spacious very well kept...two showers and three beds...two tvs coffee machines. We had breakfast delivered in the morning to our door all included and Dimitris was very friendly and helpful. The location is amazing. This place is tucked away in a vibrant and central part of the city very near to the ancient sites and the main square. Thank you Dimitris and your team

We had the most wonderful stay in Athens thanks to Dimitris and the Athenian Residences. The neighborhood/location is fantastic and very safe. Easy walking distance to all the sites. The local restaurants nearby are fabulous. We made Athenian Residences our home base in Athens before and after traveling to the islands, and they were so great with arranging taxis for us to and from the airport and port. Both rooms we stayed in were spotless, with comfortable beds and amazing breakfasts in the morning. I would highly recommend this gem to anyone who would like to visit Athens. Thank you!
