Set in the walled town of Astorga, Casa Tepa is next to the cathedral and Gaudí Palace. This restored 18th-century palace offers elegant rooms with free Wi-Fi and plasma-screen TVs.
Formerly home to the Earl of Tepa, Casa de Tepa’s most famous resident was Napoleon. The house has large grounds, a gallery and a spacious library with a fireplace.
Each of the Casa Tepa’s rooms is unique. Some rooms have a private balcony, a patio or a lounge. All rooms include central heating and a private bathroom.
The Casa is located on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route, and next to the A6 and A71 Motorways. León is about 30 miles away and Ponferrada is 37 miles away. The staff can arrange hiking or horseback riding trips.

I was amazed by this hotel. A little difficult to get to and find in a car, but our welcome could have been warmer or more helpful. Our room was very comfortable with an old world charm which belied the modern convenience of the en-suite, which had a wonderfully powerful shower and lashings of hot water. Lots of interest in the public rooms. Really enjoyed our one night stay. (There’s parking for four cars).

A really beautiful hotel in the heart of Astorga. We booked for one night as a stop-over but really wished we had been able to stay longer. The public parts of the hotel are exceptional, and the room was large, comfortable and well-equipped. breakfast was more than adequate. The outside courtyard was relaxing and there is an honesty bar system which we appreciated. The hotel is not easy to get to, and we were glad that we had booked parking there. The hotel has been in the same family for 11 generations, and much of its charm lies in the family furnishings, photographs and memorabilia on display. We would be delighted to stay there again.

It’s a hotel full of history and character, and it’s located across the street from a good restaurant (open only for lunch). Our room was large and well equipped, and we had a nice king size bed. Water pressure was good and WiFi was strong. The staff were friendly and the rate we paid was reasonable. Though it was end of October and the weather was already turning cold, the hotel had not yet turned on it’s heating system. And the breakfast buffet was sadly typical of many small Spanish hotels.

Had a wonderful stay here during my camino. Only stayed one night and wished I could have stayed longer. Arrived late in the afternoon and was met with polite, discreet, and great service. A lovely historical house (more like a restored 18th c. palace) perfectly located in the center of Astorga with elegant common rooms and a very serene patio with an open bar and a fountain in the middle. My room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was luxurious with crimson walls. My room came with a free breakfast but was not able to eat it because I had to leave early and they served it a bit later than usual for one on the camino.

Lo recomiendo 100%; sobre todo para quienes les gusten las experiencias con encanto especial y no solo llegar a un sitio a dormir y punto. Hemos hecho un viaje familiar por carretera visitando distintas ciudades de España y con diferencia ha sido aquí la estancia que más hemos disfrutado. Una casa señorial con mucha historia y un encanto muy especial en el centro de Astorga, en donde nos han hecho sentir especiales. El desayuno muy bueno también, así que merece la pena. Si os hospedáis aquí, echar un vistazo a la biblioteca y salones que se conservan (o casi) como eran originalmente, y tomaros algo por la tarde en el patio.

Excelente. Es un hotel precioso con encanto y muy bien ubicado, a dos minutos del Palacio de Gaudí. El desayuno bufet está muy bueno. Es de calidad. El personal es muy amable. Es un sitio al que volver.

Es un hotel muy tranquilo y pequeño. Recomendadísimo pasar un ratito en el patio o en las estancias que dan al mismo. Hay una fuente y vas oyendo el sonido del agua, muy relajante. El personal es muy amable. Realmente te sientes como si estuvieras en una posada de las de antaño (aunque con más comodidades, claro!). Las camas son cómodas.

Hermosísima casa familiar en pleno centro de Astorga. Un remanso de paz que le transporta a uno a los tiempos pasado de principios del siglo pasado. Edificio primorosamente cuidado, espaciosas habitaciones y un indescriptible patio interior, hacen de la estancia en esta "casa" un placer difícil de alcanzar. Y la amabilidad del propietario, "chapeau"

Estuvimos el domingo pasado visitando Astorga y, de vuelta para Madrid, pasamos a ver la posada real que esta justo enfrente del restaurante las termas donde comimos tres matrimonios Nos hizo de anfitrión Juan Ignacio Gullón, dueño del hotel posada. Nos encanto el jardín , las instalaciones, elementos comunes y alguna habitación. Es una posada con encanto y digna de recomendar, tanto por las instalaciones como por la amabilidad y atención de Juan Ignacio. Sin duda cuando volvamos a Astorga ya tenemos hotel elegido.
