The Beaucatcher, a Boutique Motel

The Beaucatcher is the former Blue Ridge Motor Lodge. Some local folks bought it a few years ago and refurbished it. The rooms are fine, nothing fancy, with tiny bathrooms (but they each have tubs, a nice plus.) The hotel is convenient to downtown, near the tunnel on Tunnel Road--maybe a mile to downtown. The hotel grounds are actually very nice, with flowers everywhere and an outdoor seating area with a firepit. Rooms are as low as $81 plus tax when paid in advance. It doesn't get any cheaper than that in Ashevegas. Breakfast is basic but good: cereals, fruit, oatmeal, granola bars, Chobani yogurt, and an assortment of basic breads and muffins. They used to have Rudy's refrigerated sausage biscuits, but sadly there were none this trip. Best of all, they have a waffle maker.

Great access to Asheville, a 30 minute walk or $8 Uber. Room was quiet and clean, staff very helpful and breakfast plentiful. Would recommend this as a place to stay, like we did for a short stay in Asheville. Parking outside the room was really handy

Great hotel, is a small hotel but the price was very good, great location lots of restaurants and stores and super close to the town. I left two blouses in a drawer and Shradha Patel the manager called me and left a message and the next day call me again. finally i was able to return the call the third day and she ship my blouses home. She was very nice and told me few places to go. I love it I will definitely go back!

So as others have said, it's not too "boutiquey" tho it has potential. The outside could use spiffing up and the grounds by the fire pit need painting also the walkways. I never saw the fire pit going tho. Breakfast was very basic, 2 of the 3 people working weren't overly friendly. Room was large but had the sink outside the bathroom which isn't my favorite but not a big deal. Fridge was super cold but the shower got super hot. Location wasn't far from downtown but having to go thru the tunnel prevented us from ever walking it. All in all, we got a good price so can't complain too much.

This motel was convenient and clean, with plenty of parking and a short drive to places like downtown, the river arts district and The Biltmore. A basic breakfast of cereal, bagels, coffee, juice and eggs that could be heated up was provided. The front desk staff was helpful. There is no elevator to the second level, so if you have mobility issues, request a first-floor room. Overall, an excellent value.

It's ok if you are only considering price & don't mind a below average motel. There is nothing cute or boutique about this place. Cheapy, scratchy towels and a tiny bathroom. The ac/heater was loud and smelled very musty. I did not try the breakfast, the tiny room that it was in did not look clean. The only good thing about this old motel is the cheap price. Pretty gross overall. I would not stay again.

This motel is affordable, clean, and cute as a bug...but happily we didn't encounter any bugs during our stay. It is close to Ingles and restaurants. Greg was there morning and night--he is amazing and made our stay breezy with any questions or blanket needs. If you are looking for a low-key family motel, look no further!

Beaucatcher was as advertised. Good location by the Tunnel. Easy access to downtown. Reasonably priced. Clean. Comfortable. Quiet. Courtyard outdoor seating area. Breakfast of bagels, yogurt, cheese, coffee, tea. Great front desk staff at check-in and in the morning; pleasant & friendly. Plenty of towels. Comfortable bedding. No issue with our stay.

Overall the place is very dated and dingy but you get what you pay for. Stayed for 2 nights, bed moderately comfortable. Issues were that we had no working TV. Informed person at desk within first hour and said he would get it straightened out. Never saw him again. Spoke to lady at front desk about TV on second day, when we had to ask for another roll of toilet paper. Never got a working TV, but did get a roll of TP.
