No star rating for this bunk house Health and safety flouted We are staying here for 7 nights and it is torture We are on the third floor and that’s 6 flights of stairs from the shared kitchen The fire escape is next to us its rusty and seems to move around when you step onto it The escape is on to the remains of another building which has been knocked down Our bedroom window opens into 4 other bedroom windows I have covered the glass now so we can open the curtain and not be overlooked This is potentially a health and safety issue with regards to fire exit not fit for purpose I wish that I had never booked this accommodation I have raised a concern to the hotel and travel agent not any help the pictures are of the hotel that are nothing like the online for the hotel

We chose online for short break just to rest and eat breakfast. We knew about shared kitchen. Internet mentioned fridge, none in kitchen or room, cups chipped. Room had folding table, basic stool and chair shabby, no toilet paper, pillows tiny. Room fairly clean, but like a homeless hostel. 4:30 a.m awoken by man shouting and banging then 8:30 woman talking loudly. Cleaner's blocked corridor with bedding, trip hazard and fire hazard.

I stayed here for 6 nights in February 2023. Normally I would prefer my own place but they are at a premium in Arrecife and there is no way I would stay in a soulless purpose built resort. The main reason I chose this place apart from the location was the fact that the rooms have fridges. It's not a five star hotel but for what you get the facilities are pretty good. The staff are lovely and the rooms well appointed with comfy beds, a well appointed bathroom and of course the fridge. The pictures also showed a kettle but this was missing but they said it was fine to take a small one from the communal kitchen. The kitchen too is well appointed with everything you need to cook and prepare meals and there are several supermarkets close by as well as ATM's. The location actually is brilliant - a few minutes from the lagoon and the shopping area, 10 minutes from the bus station and maybe half an hour to the beach. The terrace is lovely for relaxing and reading. The only problem really was the fact that the walls are so thin - some of those who stay here seem to be long term residents and the couple next door made an awful racket getting up in the morning with music blaring our and doors slamming. You can hear almost everyone in the corridors. I left after 6 days and went to La Graciosa for the weekend and then spent one night in a room without its own bathroom which was much quieter and had a small balcony. In some ways this was better although I do prefer my own bathroom. All in though it's a good place to stay for those on a budget.

Me and my boyfriend recently visited hostel San gines and cannot fault our experience! The hostel staff were extremely friendly, spoke good English, nothing was too much trouble from booking us taxis to advising us of things to do. The rooms are basic but clean and have everything you need, the air con was a god send! Lovely communal kitchen which again was spotless. The rooftop terrace was lovely with beautiful views of the marina. Would definitely stay again!

Very good location. Bed and room clean. Bed had firm mattress but it was larger than the base !! This is a hostel so it is a budget stay but compared to other hostels nearby it is very tired. The laminate floor in our room has experienced water damage and needs immediate attention. The shower control was loose and coming away from the wall. Our aircon did not work and the gentleman on duty could not fix it. I found it very noisy but won’t be a problem if you don’t mind listening to : your neighbour have a long wee during the night.. exclaiming loudly they have reached the height of satisfaction. Or simply clearing the chesty mucus from their lungs first thing in the morning. To be honest it’s budget.

The room was very basic but comfortable with a nice bathroom. The bed was ok. The biggest disadvantage is that you can hear everything what is going outside of your room. The biggest advantage – it is located just next to the city center, port and the beach. You can also reach the bus station within 20 minutes walk. For a quick stay yes, for longer rather try to find something else.

This Hostal is located in the Old Town, in the popular Charco de San Ginés area of Arrecife with its array of bars, shops and restaurants. It's about 10minutes walk from the airport bus stop. As its 'Hostal/Pension' designation suggests, it offers basic but perfectly adequate accommodation. The check-in process was made easy and straightforward by welcoming, friendly staff. The room overlooked an inner courtyard, and was clean and comfortable: A wardrobe/shelving space for clothing, a small collapsible table and 2 stools, a wall mounted fan, mini fridge and small TV. The bathroom was clean and the decent sized shower offered a plentiful supply of high pressure hot water. The hostal has no elevator, so rooms can only be accessed by stairs. There is a well stocked communal kitchen/dining area which guests can use to prepare and eat food. There's also a pleasant sun terrace with tables and chairs. There's a mini-supermarket almost next door. If you're looking for somewhere cheap, cheerful and in a great location, this hostal ought to be just fine.

This place is conveniently located and cheap. The beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean but very small, you pretty much shower with the shower curtain wrapped around you. There is no view from the window. The worst were the fleece/polyester towels.

Centrally located for many nearby restaurants overlooking the lagoon and main shopping area. Rooms are simple but very clean, serviced regularly with clean sheets and towels. Our ensuite room, an internal one overlooking a central courtyard, had free air conditioning, a fan, fridge and a TV (all Spanish programmes). There was a hairdryer and a soap dispenser in the bathroom. There was a fold up table and two stools also in the room. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of storage for clothes, etc. On the ground floor was a communal kitchen where you could cook your own food, and on the top floor of the hotel were two sun terraces. We enjoyed our stay and would like to come back again next year.
