We did a multi-hour horse tour here. The scenery was stunning and the horses were well taken care of and trained. Unfortunately the ‘tour guide’ was absolutely terrible. Her name was Yasmin (sp?) from the Netherlands. We were surprised she said she knew nothing about the ranch, the family, the horses or the local area when we asked. She had no real instructions and was silent during the 2-1/2 hour ride. She only answered questions with a yes, no, or usually an ‘I don’t know’. She was cold, rude, and seemed to dislike questions. She seemed like doing a tour was an inconvenience. She acted bothered to take a few pictures of us, never offered to take a photo, and started taking pictures before we were in position so the pictures ended up being terrible. Yasmin also checked her phone every 3 minutes or so. This experience really left a negative impression with us even though the setting and horses were beautiful. Yasmin needs to find a summer job outside of tourism or anything customer facing. After we dismounted, she walked away with the horses and never made eye contact nor said thank you nor goodbye. Suggest doing some type of social / communication assessment before hiring.

Came here for a late lunch/early dinner on a Snaefellsnes peninsula tour. What a lovely meal! The food was hot and comforting; lots of pasta and sauces to choose from and the pork was delicious. The cake for dessert was delightful as well. The staff was nice and seemed to really enjoy meeting us.

We loved our stay here! Jóhanna is amazing. She really took care of us and invited us to come join a tour group for dinner (which wasn't included for us). Breakfast was included in our stay, which was delicious. Her dinner was one of the best home cooked meals I have had! This was a great place to escape the city lights and base your Snæfellsnes peninsula adventures from. We stayed in the winter so we couldn't go horseback riding but we were told we could see them whenever we wanted. Plus there were friendly barn cats that were cuddly and followed us around. We had our own private cabin, which could easily sleep 8 (we were only 3 people so we had a ton of room). And to top off the amazing stay, we got to experience the northern lights! We would definitely stay here again!
