Lovely hotel in the old town in Arles. Although it's in the centre, it was very quiet and a great place to retreat to. There's a courtyard garden and large sitting area, good rooms and a really good breakfast. There are a lot of stairs and no lift, but staff able to help with luggage. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stay at hotel du musee for two nights and it’s amazing. Checking in was vest easy. The hotel is historic so no elevator. The courtyard is most beautiful. I highly recommend the breakfast buffet. Fresh eggs, ham, bacon, cheese, amazing selection of bread and spread. The location in Arles is perfect. Easy walk to all the restaurants and attraction. Love everything about this hotel and the beautiful town. For traveler not familiar with Many history if town in Europe. Check with your hotel for parking instructions before you unload your bags. : )

This very old building is located opposite the Musee Reattu and superfically has much charm. The common areas were good but our bedroom and other public areas were poor. Both the shower room and toilet were exceptionally small, the latter looked like it was in a cupboard at the end of the bed. But the real problem was the smell of stagnant water which pervaded from the moment we entered the room, which was very unpleasant, I presume it was associated with the aforesaid toilet room (cupboard). The hotel's selling point is its own antiquity and location, which is close to the centre but obvioulsy the whole place needs refurbishment, including the installation of decent bathroom facilities - in all my years of extensive global travel I've never seen anything like it.

I travel a lot and have rarely stayed in such a meticulously clean and maintained environment. The staff were all welcoming and the breakfast was very good. The only problem, as always, were my room neighbors, whose conversation I heard until 11:30 pm, between them and on the phone. Unfortunately, there are always guests who forget about the existence of others.

Charming Hotel in old centre with 3 internal terraces, great location for visiting the festival, Rencontres de la Photographie. Very good buffet breakfast and friendly staff made the visit very welcoming.

Excellent location - very safe for a solo traveller. Staff helpful and friendly. Rooms were really well cleaned . Very reasonably priced , I would definitely return ! My room was really bright and clean . I loved the little back street where it was located

We stayed here for the second time. We were concerned about the stairs, but thankfully booked the small room just one flight up. This is a lovely small hotel with local atmosphere, located a ten-minute walk from the train station right in the middle of the historic town. The owners are very helpful. the breakfast is a lovely continental self-service meal without the large tourist buffet. Highly recommended.

I felt really ill when I stayed here ..this has nothing to do with the hotel - I began to feel ill just before arriving. So anyway, it was mostly very peaceful and a good place to be ill (a huge head cold and vicious throat / cough). The staff seemed very nice and its certainly a family run place. I managed to get out and see the charming Arles - Luma tower is worth walking to, just for the views from the top (its all free). Very comfortable room, nice bathroom. Just minutes from all the restaurants and sights. Very short walk from train station. Id stay again.

The great thing about staying at the Hotel du Musee is that it's easy to get back there from the maze of streets in the center-ville because it's right across the street from the Musee Reattu, so you just need to follow the signs to the museum. The rooms are quite small but charmingly furnished and have excellent A/C. The bathroom has been recently remodeled so it looks quite modern. The daily breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. Check-in was easy but perhaps more perfunctory than I would have preferred, particularly since the stairs and hallways had timers on the lights and I didn't figure out how to turn them on for a day or two. And you definitely need to turn on the lights to go up the staircase because it's terribly dark.
