Hotel St John Villas

We ve stayed in Gardenia villa. The comfort and luxury is beyond measure. My son and daughter enjoyed the swimming pool (which by the way had crystal clean water without smelling chlorine) the beds were super comfortable, the garden was perfect and always peaceful and quiet. Fantastic stuff and service in our villa. Very rich breakfast and wonderful sea view from everywhere. By far the best 5 star hotel I've visited until now.

We stayed in a 3 bed villa. The complex has several villas and a small restaurant. The rooms are generous size. The pool was clean. The balcony has a lovely view. The air conditioning worked fine. It's a quiet spot up a steep hill. Great to have a car. The two of Tsilivi has loads of restaurants and shops, we found some lovely places. The villa was a bit tired and dark. Bits of grout needing fixing, the bath bottom was cracked, small easy fixes that made it seem less fancy. The interior was very grey/beige with dark wood. The oven and hob were very old electric models and difficult to control. All the symbols were worn off! I didn't enjoy the kitchen and living room being combined as the kitchen is very dated. The sofas were the most uncomfortable - very shallow seat. The staff were very helpful. There's not a lot in the kitchen, when I asked they brought me a pan and a knife. The gym has EVERY machine you could ever want, but no space because of it. It was very hot and it's downstairs so there are no windows. The restaurant is lovely - although a LOT of bugs in October, didn't see any traps. The staff were super helpful. The food was great and they were very adaptable, made a pasta dish without bacon so it was vegetarian or cooked anything you would like for breakfast. The playground needs to be replaced. The equipment seesaw and play house were splintering. There's a swing and a roundabout. The cleaners didn't do a lot - straightened the beds and swept a little, but never mopped or cleaned the bathrooms, we used the one shower that wasn't over the cracked bath and it never got cleaned in 10 days. Plenty of clean towels though. The hot water ran out after a bath and two showers but was replenished in about half an hour, I guess it's a small tank. We enjoyed our stay.

This property offers both villas and suites. The location is nice and you may enjoy a superb view. However, from the resort upper suites any view is rather limited, in fact you see the roof of lower suites. Suites are new, but not very large with private pools (in September the suite pool water was quite cold). Unlike the suites (which are close to the 5 star service), the resort most luxurous villas are rather close to the 3 star service. This is mainly because of outdated and shabby furniture, noisy A/C, uncomfortable mattresses and only a very basic cleaning service (change of towels, garbage disposal). However, if you prefer more space and privacy, then one of the resort (2 or 3 bedroom) villas is the best option. Unfortunately the resort management does not guarantee that the (particular) villa you booked will actually be available once you arrive. Then you are expected to "cooperarte in finding an alternative solution", which basicallly means that you will accept to stay at one of the resort one bedroom suites (instead of the 2/3 bedroom villa). If you do not like it, you may be offered to get your money back (paid well in advance to secure the villa you booked), so instead of enjoying your vacation from the first moment you start your vacation by frustration that you should start looking for a new hotel/resort to stay during your vacation. However, if you are a family with kids, you are bettter positioned to get the villa you booked. Booking a car via the resort management is not a good option; once a different car category was delivered, the second time no car was delivered at all.

Suites very good quality and clean. Mrs Narcis the hotel manager was excellent, arranging trips and a car. We had a lovely time, all her team from waiters to the maid were very courteous. Great service from the cart drivers too, ferrying you back and forth from your room.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in our fabulous 3 bedroom classic villa. The team and Mrs Narcis, the manager, cannot do enough for you to ensure your stay is perfect. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is not buffet style for the villas. There is a menu that you order from, but they will happily cook any breakfast that you request and everything was delicious. Housekeeping is excellent. Communication is excellent. The location is also fantastic, although I do recommend that you hire a car and explore the island. The hotel management can organise; car hire, airport transfers, and excursions for you. Mrs Narcis organised for my daughter to go horse riding, which was such an amazing experience for her! We also hired a car, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for an amazing stay.

I stayed here with my two girlfriends and we had the best time. We booked a suite and it was perfect … super clean, comfortable, and the view was just stunning. The staff were friendly and everything was really well organised. Breakfast every morning was amazing … fresh, tasty, and lots to choose from. We also had dinner at NOYA and the food was incredible. Beautiful setting and great service. Honestly, the whole trip was such a vibe. Relaxing, fun, and everything we hoped for. Definitely coming back!
