I'll start by saying how lovely each and everyone of the staff are here. They're really polite, helpful and friendly! The room was clean and tidy. Towels and sheets changed frequently. The air-conditioning was great. There was complimentary wine and crackers, hot drinks making facilities and a fridge with bottled water. The only thing missing was milk for the drinks. The coffee and tea bags weren't replenished so consider bringing your own (also the used cups/glasses where not replaced and I didn't fancy using hand soap to clean them so thats a very slight complaint if I'm been picky). The step in shower tends to flood the whole bathroom floor which can become very slippery...a little impractical to not have a door. There is a handy shop situated inside the hotel which has everything you could want and need (card payments accepted). The hotel itself has a great chill atmosphere, with a mix of couples and families. With entertainment every other night. The pool area was great. Plenty of loungers and not overly crowded. The water felt fresh and clean at the beginning of the week but towards the end it started to feel a little grimey. There is a bus you can catch to visit the old town (30 minutes ish to get there). You buy your tickets from the little shop which is handy. Although I think the hotel could benefit from displaying more information in regards to this and other outside activities. I only found out from other holiday makers there, who'd give me lots of information on where to find the bus stop etc. But a map of some kind would of been handy as locating the bus stop back wasn't as easy (even with Google maps). We also very nearly missed our stop coming back too. I'm a little apprehensive traveling anyway and it was just myself and my autistic teenager so I found myself internally panicking to not worry him. But luckily we were fine but more information/maps etc would be helpful to introverts and nervous people like myself. There is a restaurant couple minutes up the road if you fancy abit it a change from the all inclusive food. The food was good... I wouldn't say great but there was always plenty of options. And nothing beats an evening meal on the terrace with the view of the most beautiful sunsets you'll ever see! I'd love to return back here one day. Absolutely loved our time relaxing here. Hotel located in Skaleta village, which is half an hour’s drive from Rethymno, can be reached by car or by bus (bus stop 5 minutes walk from the hotel) The hotel has very friendly and welcoming staff who are always ready to help. During my stay I had a problem with the shower in my room, it was fixed within an hour while I was at the beach. Tasty, varied, simple, homemade food gives you a feeling of home comfort. The main thing is to stop in time so as not to bring home a couple of extra kilos . For those who don't like swimming pools like me, the hotel is located right on the seafront. The entry into the sea is rocky, this is a minus, but water shoes cope well with this issue, and clean water is a bonus. There are many beautiful plants, flowers, etc. on the hotel grounds. On Thursday, hotel guests enjoy a musical night with traditional Greek dancing and live music.
