Feel super lucky to have stumbled across this stunning property and location! Spent 3 nights here with a friend in the peak summer season and had the most restorative and beautiful stay. You never felt like the hotel was busy; the design is gorgeous; the local area is picturesque; Nicole on the front desk gave us great local restaurant recommendations; Pasquale makes the best cocktails by the pool and the spa treatments were fantastic. Cannot fault and am a fussy traveller. Exceptional attention to detail and will definitely return.

What a gem! Monastero Arx Vivendi is one of those rare places where history meets modern comfort in the most elegant way. The transformation from monastery to boutique hotel is truly stunning — beautifully designed, full of character, and still incredibly peaceful. The service? Spot on. Always there when you need it, never too much. Spa lovers, take note: the treatments were excellent, and the hammam was an absolute highlight – deeply relaxing and perfectly executed. Breakfast was another win: fresh, high-quality, and with lots of thoughtful details. All in all, a unique experience that’s both serene and sophisticated. Will definitely be back!

I loved staying at Monastero Arx Vivendi, this place is just my style. Haute Hygge at it's finest, I spent 5 days in the well-appointed Hortus Suite. The private tub was especially relaxing, and the garden with attached Finnish Spa really made this the room to spoil yourself with. Lots of unobtrusive modern upgrades including a luxurious rain shower, high end fixtures, and soft air conditioning with temperature readings in both Celsius and Fahrenheit...nice touch guys. I had a very good sports massage onsite, and loved reading in the spa room on the swinging beds. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, and there were really nice bar beverage options. I also really got a kick out of watching the parasailers flying overhead from the pool. Everyone I interacted with provided exceptional service with a friendly smile. Finally, I rented a bike from the hotel, and was provided with a scenic route through the Alps down to the Lake. It was breathtaking. I also booked a private boat ride via one of the flyers the hotel laid out with Tour Boat Experience. Captain Roberto was so fun, and knowledgeable about the local history. Monastero was everything I hoped it would be, and the pictures are representative. It really is that beautiful.

This is a stunning and unique place, a fully renovated monastery with equisite design, all high quality and geared towards your comfort. The garden area is just one of a kind - aboslutely beautiful, high wall ensures privacy, quiet and relaxing oasis with heated pool and spa area, with amazing views on the surrounding mountains. We can higly reccomend this place!

Very nice Hotel in an old Monastery. Nice location, but also a few problems. During our stay, there was a group of 10-15 people at the restaurant and next day at the pool.. drinking and celebrating. Together with the crying babies, we could not find the quiet monastery and SPA spirit. Further, they have only a few sunbeds with mattress (and more sunbeds without). So, people reserve their sunbeds early in the morning similar as in Mallorca. Finally, the service could be more attentive. When we checked in (two men), we got a male and a female bathrobe/ slippers. Not sure why. The staff is very friendly!

Amazing hotel! Everything was perfect, definitely recommend. All of the history and beautiful architecture make this place an gem! First, the staff was lovely and friendly! The breakfast (buffet and to order) and coffee was plentiful and delicious. We loved the honesty bar, where drinks and snacks are available for purchase to charge to the room. Overall, it was a lovely, quiet and serene stay, but one note, it is not adults only, so sometimes there were loud children at the pool and meals.
