Sarova Shaba Game Lodge

Très tranquille mais clôturé alors si l’on ne réserve pas un safari, on s’ennuie. De plus il faut payer les taxes exorbitantes pour accéder au parc, donc à l’hôtel!

We had a lovely outdoor breakfast on the lawn beside the fast-flowing Ewaso Nyiro River and with the Shaba Game Park across the river. The monkeys were there for breakfast too. It was a live cooking by Chef Edwin and the crew, including Moses, Paul, John, Hassan. They ensured we enjoyed our special breakfast, and the monkeys stayed in the tree. Thanks to all the dining staff who organized this special event for us. The lodge is in a green oasis with beautiful high ceilings open-air restaurant /bar area. The setting is relaxing, and the delightful swimming pool makes it even more so. Thanks to the pool staff James” Mr. Safari Water” The quality and variety of the food is terrific. They call it the “Shaba cuisine “The Manager has a very nice designer shirt which he refused to part with.

The View was reminiscent of the amazon with a river(albeit much smaller) out the front of our room. The staff were very good and attentive, the room was OK,again pillows really soft. It still bewilders me that a room for two people only provide a place for one bag to be opened and the second bag inevitably ends on the floor? The dining area was pleasant enough but they kept moving where you could find salad and desert. The pool was nice and quiet - but at the end of the day we were here for the wildlife not the accommodation!

Travelled with my family to Sarova Shaba in July. It is one of the most beautiful hotels I have visited. Great reception on arrival. Professional and friendly staff. They made our stay wonderful. The food was the best. The chef was very friendly and always asked for feedback from everyone. Overall, we had a great stay.

The staff at Sarova Shaba were incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming. Their attentiveness to my mother's special dietary needs was truly commendable. The spacious, impeccably clean rooms provided a comfortable retreat after our thrilling game drives. The resort offered numerous tranquil areas to unwind, including a delightful swimming pool. For the younger guests, there was a variety of engaging activities to keep them entertained. I was particularly impressed by the resort's commitment to sustainability. The on-site vegetable garden was a lovely touch, ensuring that fresh, locally grown produce was incorporated into the delicious buffet meals. A special thanks to Stephen and Moses for their exceptional service and hospitality."

Who would expect to find a wonderful ,splendid and awesome place in a middle of nowhere . Really worth the travel.Awesome and great delicious food .loved the breakfast. Wonderful staff. Worth the money .Worth the trip. Worth the fun.✌️

Great ambience and place to relax. You move from ‘The wilderness’ to an Oais (lodge) next to the ballooning river that makes you sleep as if it’s raining outside. The staff are excellent and offer 110% support for the family . Out of this world special meal was made for us by Chef Meshack, Chef Robert and Chef Edwin. The Mutton choma (charcoal grilled) was exceptionally good.

We stopped at Shaba for two nights mid holiday! It was just as we expected and didn’t cost a fortune to stay. The lodges were lovely and clean but might benefit from having added touches such as a fridge etc. The rooms could get quite warm so I do recommend having the dan on regular. The staff were accommodating and very helpful. It was a nice touch they got the bedroom ready every night to ensure the mosquitos didn’t get in! They love to tell you about the resident monkeys and crocodiles. The pool area is fabulous and ideal for a nice summers break, there’s always fresh towels and waiters coming round to offer you a drink. We also booked a game drive which was brilliant! Our guide went above and beyond to make sure we saw some lions. As an extra treat I booked in for a hot stone massage- the lady was brilliant! Making sure the pressure was right and ensuring the temperature/oils were to my liking. A lovely short break.

Sarova Shaba has been my dream destination for some years now and finally went and really loved it!!! My stay there with my family was fantastic!The staff is friendly and welcoming.Chef Stephen ensured we enjoyed the meals, looked after my son and ensured he had his favorite meals Customer service is at its top notch.Nimmo,was always welcoming,always! I had my birthday and the staff birthday songs are unique and great!!! The birthday cake was really delicious! The food was awesome, facilities splendid,indoor games,the scenery is great!! Name it! The river scenery is therapeutic Some one take me back to Sarova Shaba and keep me there! Keep it up! One of the best lodges have been to. Beautiful
