This is the only hotel in Sohag, Abydos and it looks lovely but you won't find any luxury here, the rooms and amenities are pretty basic, but the shower is hot and has enough pressure. The room has all the basic needs but the beds were quite hard and uncomfortable and the pillows were lumpy. The restaurant is ok. The shops inside however have a nice range of lovely souvenier items and you can walk to the temple from here - it's barely 5 minutes which is awesome. If you get hungry for snacks, there is a vendor across the street.

The owner’s attention to detail is what made this hotel so wonderful. She is Dutch and created a beautiful European courtyard with olive and fruit trees and a huge, beautiful pool complete with friendly cats languishing in the sun. Surrounding the courtyard are balconies of hotel rooms and it looks like a Mediterranean dream in terms of architecture. It was nice to look off the balcony of my room and see my kids playing in the courtyard. The food was fantastic and healthy and actually had a lot of vegetables. The rooms were clean and well appointed and comfortable. I LOVED the shopping in the lobby - they had 6 shops with cool souvenirs and good quality things at very reasonable prices. I also loved their attention to ancient Egyptian statuary and details. In all the places we stayed, this was my kids favorite. The outdoor bar was nice and they had good wine and excellent cappuccinos.

Amazing hotel,food also very good. I recommend a cappuccfrom the bar at the pool area. Got a room for myself, clean and very big. The hotel has a pool and very nice. Temple of Seti just in a walking distance, police also nearby for your safety.Hotel was busy during my stay.

Here we go ! Front desk service was perfect. The breakfast was good in general. Please try to offer different optons for dinner. Swimming pool nerds more attention as well as the bathroom clraning.

Excellent hotel, budget friendly, very clean and amazing destination for soothing nerves for uts serene environment. I liked its decorations that have ancient Egyptian significance, like the name of the hotel itself (house of life) being (Bir Ankh) meaning in ancient Egyptian language ( House of Life). Highly recommended.

This is a very good hotel: modest size, clean and comfortable, large modern rooms with modern bathrooms, a landscaped central courtyard with a small pool and a (non-alcoholic) bar, a bright dining area with long tables and good food served buffet-style. Exterior decor is "ancient Egyptian" and very attractive. There are also shops off the main lobby; and the temple of Seti I is a few minutes' walk away. One drawback for mobility-challenged guests: there are stairs both up to the front door of the hotel, from the street, and then stairs again from the lobby and dining area down to the courtyard and rooms.

We enjoyed our night at this hotel. Our room was large, clean and comfortable and overlooked the gorgeous swimming pool. There was a very good breakfast buffet and dinner was of a good standard. When we left we were supplied with very generous lunch boxes as arranged by our excellent tour leaders, Blue Lotus Experience of Luxor. The hotel is located just a short stroll from the lovely temple of Seti I.

A lovely oasis in the town of Abydos! Rooms are comfortable tho not “swanky,” buffet style food is very good. The staff was wonderful, with typical Egyptian hospitality - the best. Recommend for small (or large? I don’t know) groups who wish to experience the best temple of ancient Egypt: Abydos!

Bonito y acogedor, con un restaurante en el que se come bastante bien dentro de lo que se puede exigir para un país como Egipto. Tiene una piscina muy bonita. Personal muy amable. El descanso bueno. La decoración es típica egipcia.
