Relax in the quiet of the charming countryside surrounding Nauvoo, yet be close enough to enjoy all the local attractions within minutes. Nauvoo Country Cottage is located just 7.5 miles from the Nauvoo Illinois Temple. This cozy home sits on 3 acres giving plenty of privacy to your family or group. This home is great for your family or group gathering! There are 4 bedrooms, two with queen size beds and two with twin bunk beds. The bedrooms with the bunk beds also have lofts with full size mattresses. The lofts are great for kids or small adults and are enclosed with a secure railing. Must be able to climb a ladder and comfortable in small spaces to use the lofts. Two pack-n-play cribs also available for babies. There is parking on property however the driveway is only a single car width for most of its length. There is lots of area outside for kids to run and play! Entire home, fully furnished with laundry and pack-n-play cribs. Guests may use the large yard for tents if they would like. This is an older rural country home with a few “character” quirks. We have worked very hard to convert the home to a great bnb experience. You’ll be comfortable and have your privacy. There is a fire pit in the yard for campfires. There is also a charcoal BBQ available, however guests will need to provide their own charcoal and firestarter. The nearest stores are located about 6 minutes away in Fort Madison, IA. There is a toll of $4 in one direction and free toll in the other direction. This was a great home for our family of 6 to stay in while we visited historic Nauvoo! It was fun to be out in the country, and the road it’s on is very quiet. Plenty of beds, and air conditioning, which made our August stay so much more comfortable

Perfect Nauvoo Location Perfect house for a Nauvoo vacation. Plenty of space, bedrooms and supplies. Well thought out extras as well. Short trip to Nauvoo, short trip to Burlington. We’ve stayed a lot of different places in Nauvoo but we will be back to this one for sure!

Overall good. We're just a bunch of picky old ladies...well 3 of us were anyway. Just a few minor things like the sheets on the beds need to be replaced. They seemed pretty well used. Not thrilled about the step from the living room to the dining area. Yard looked pretty neglected but thankfully didn't have any children to play outside. Master bedroom floor has a definite sagging problem. Would liked to have had TV's in the bedrooms. Otherwise, the house was very clean and kitchen equipped with everything we needed. Will probably stay there again.
