Another Island

We stayed at the house for 3 nights, having booked what was described as a “villa” for 5 people. However, the 3 of us ended up in what felt more like a basement dungeon. The rooms were so small, no space to open 2 luggages so we moved the chairs outside, they had almost no natural light, the curtains kept falling of the wall. the doors were missing handles, and the bathroom door lock was broken. The bathroom itself was outdated and appeared quite dirty. The towels provided were extremely worn out—so rough and dry they were uncomfortable to use. One of the bedrooms was part of an open-plan area with the kitchen, offering no privacy whatsoever. As a result, we couldn’t comfortably use either the kitchen or the living room. Accessing the property was also a challenge, with a rough, unpaved uphill road leading to the house. At night, there was no outdoor lighting not even on the stairs making it completely pitch black and unsafe to move around. Overall, this stay was incredibly disappointing. The property offers no amenities, no comfort, and certainly no value for money. The only redeeming quality was the view, but that alone does not justify the experience. I absolutely would not recommend this place.

the facilities are wonderful and the hospitality is excellent ! we were welcomed and followed throughout the holiday with great attention, courtesy and sympathy. philip and his family helped us love the island and get to know it. we will certainly come back and come back to them.
